Rural setting Freshly cooked breakfast
Bed was very hard and uncomfortable. Wi-Fi connection was not good at all in room I stayed in.
Was great to go from a stressful day training in tring. thru the lanes to this idyllic setting a great way to calm down really good value for money
The light was a bit dim to work with in room. a desk lamp would have been good
Good value with very nice location in general a very nice place lacks a little maintenance in the rooms but very clean. Staff were very polite and helpful and the breakfast was very nice. Would use again without hesitation Keith from Birmingham.
Lacking a little room maintenance in places but as I say a good place to stay and very clean with very friendly and helpful staff.
The fact the staff were so welcoming and friendly and worked quietly and efficiently together as a team.
The condition of the bathroom could be looked at, the toilet in the room could do with a good clean.
Friendliness of staff Good facilities
Limited toilets and no baby changing facilities in hotel No lift
Quiet surroundings Very nice staff
Terrible Wi-Fi Almost no mobile reception
Location to were my training courses were held Very peaceful Reasonably priced Room clean and comfortable
Only one area to sit other then room as wedding had booked the bar and surrounding area's. This area was not inviting to sit and relax esp. if solo traveller. Poor/weak Wi-Fi connection unable to work. Certain rooms no Wi-Fi and could get signal in bar and surrounding areas.
We didn't see much of the hotel due to arriving late but from what we saw was lovely. The outside me and my partner agreed was lovely and good size car park and I'm sure the facilities you provide are good just unfortunately didn't have time to explore
The rooms and the decor were a bit dated, which I didn't mind just the outside had a different persona to it and wasn't expecting the inside to be so different, but that's probably just our age!
Location, grounds, friendly staff
Rooms not serviced daily, superior room fairly basic, small double bed, pressure to check out by 10.30am on a Sunday morning, bar menu very limited
We were given a warm welcome from the professional reception staff on our arrival after a day of cycling. They were prepared for our bikes with a room available for them overnight. We were directed across the carpark to a separate cottage with a lovely room on the first floor. It was only after unpacking that we realised that the big window in the room had no curtains. As the room was so lovely and as we had unpacked we didn't want to move. The receptionist was baffled by the lack of curtains and was unable to provide replacements. However she did bring up a large screen which we were happy to put across the window and was effective in blocking out the light. She also gave us directions to the local pub for dinner as a function was taking up the centre eating places that evening. Breakfast in the morning was standard hotel fare, but as we were the first ones down, it was hot and fresh, a good start to the day.
Music from the function could be heard till late. It was a hot night and we didn't really want to close the windows but had to to block out the music.
Great courteous, friendly staff. Lovely accomodation. Wonderful setting in the quiet countryside. Excellent breakfasts. Close to ammenities, shops and train. Definitely plan to return for a longer stay. The best staff ever!!!
Great location and grounds
Have passed yr details onto to fellow colleagues. Like the peace and quiet. Have rebooked for September.
Original room was far too hot, but I moved and it was great. Thank you to the young girl on the reception
The position and the gardens
The whole place needs some attention as it is rather tired
Peaceful location, food was good and reasonably priced Plenty of parking and well maintained garden Was okay for what we needed it for - better value than just a Travelodge!! (although obviously still a conference centre)
Booked three superior rooms - on arrival one allocated in the older part of building and was huge with balcony and sitting area whilst two in the newer wing much smaller and not what would be considered superior as quite basic. Out of date bottled beer sold in bar- dated end April and we stayed in July. It was pointed out to bar staff but I think she was new! Still charged me for it too!!!!
Staff were excellent polite and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Would definitely use again lovely setting and grounds.
Some of the rooms could do with freshening up.
Helpful reception and fantastic staff at Breakfast.
The hotel setting was beautiful
When 2 people are booked in a double room it is logical to expect 2 hand and 2 bath towels not one of each. Extract fans should start up when light is switched on so why didn't the cleaners report a malfunctioning one to maintenance ?
Location and staff lovely
The room had been cleaned but bathroom had huge clumps of dust/floor sweepings left under the radiator..maybe just an oversight but not very nice.
Quiet room and value for money
Room and ensuire very small Room very warm and could benefite from air conditioning as opening the window made it a bit noisy
Warm welcome, from very friendly staff. Very beautiful and peaceful location with lovely country garden.
Cannot fault Hotel in anyway, although because of its location make sure you plan for not having any mobile signal
the setting is lovely, tranquil gardens, tube within easy reach
mistake in making up my bill
