Comfortable clean and good size rooms. And heating worked! Lovely food too.
I liked it all.
Having ground floor facilities was for us excellent, the staff were courteous and helpful.
The menu was pitiful and nothing on it was entirely suitable for diabetics.we had cause to report one meal as being awful but this complaint was dealt with very quickly and courteously by the staff which we were very grateful for. The menu needs a bit more variety to it.
The Staff, Mine was an evening checkin and I required a few extras, pillows, milk, biscuits etc and Joe was very attentive and ensured I was comfortable as was all staff. Jane, Room Attendant did an excellent Job servicing my room. The manager, Jane was always helpful. I would not hesitate to stay again. Thank You All
cold .took 30min to check in. Noisy very Uncomfy !
The member of staff on check in changed rooms because we had 2 single beds and no cot when we requested a double bed and a cot. New room swapped and cot bought up within 5 minutes.
Nobody on check in desk had to wait 15 minutes with a 21 month old who was tired and grumpy.
Heating/pipes banging - needs an overhaul
The staff were good although I thought there could have been more of them on duty in the evening bar. Food well prepared and value for money.
The public toilet's and room en suite were not up to standard. En suite tiles are cracked and damaged. Toilet roll holder broken. shower head touching the extractor fan inside the shower cubicle (not sure if that's up to standard). Pop up sink waste not working. Generally not pleasant. Double glazing would be welcome.
Cost of stay Hot water Sheets and towels were clean
Bathroom and bedroom needs a thorough clean. Breakfast was disappointing and not worth the money. Poor service at check in.
Good location. Friendly staff.nice pub
Heating system banging and clangin most of night kept us awake
The large bedroom, the large shower and all round comfort of the room.
Wifi didn't connect for me, but I was pleased you had free wifi it's essential.
Compared with Premier Inn this was half price and have to say easily comparable.
A little dated
The scruffy staff, the complete absence of professionalism' the long wait to check in and out , the state of the exterior windows , the rat traps by the entrance , as a hotel it fails on every count !!!
We needed Accommodation, as we were going to see a band at the Queens hall, good value, and good location
The room was clean and tidy with on suit bed firm and comfy Also a Key was suplied for after hour's late entry
The room was tired
The lack of staff, being woken up at 7 am on Sunday morning by another inconsiderate guest banging the hell out of his door, I think he was locked out. No staff around to let him in. This went on for an hour. Then to top it all, we wanted to order a meal at 8.45pm and we're told the kitchen was closed. Went to bed hungry and very annoyed with the lack of customer service.
Bathroom a bit cramped but what should you expect for a bargain price.
ease of checking in nice clean room Hot water pleasant staff Food to a good standard
restaurant being a bit dated and sticky furniture and some dirty cutlery cost of a mid week room? why so dear
Breakfast was great
No hassle - Staff let you get on with your stay, don't bother you at all :) Lovely friendly staff. Full English - Breakfast was amazing!! Hotel really well run by lovely people.
Overall a good, inexpensive hotel, good pub menu, decent choice
Found the room somewhat cold, needed the heating sorting out. Would like a potato choice other than chips for the fod
Staff were professional and helpful... Nice personalities...often the hotel desk wAs not staffed...noticed some other guests unhappy about waiting to check out in am...I did my check out in the evening prior to leaving so no problem
Bathroom small and shower threshold too high fur to shower being raised to allow pipes and drains to be laid on top of floor as opposed to burying plumbing in the floor as it should be...bath mats were withdrawn by staff and had to be requested?... You are asking for a lawsuit on this???
All of it
None of it
Lovely big comfortable bed.
Too hot in the rood and too much noise.
Everything.Celebrated our 36th wedding anniversary here,it was a surprise for my husband as this is where we spent our original wedding night. Had a meal with our daughter during the day.Food is good quality and very filling, would be nice to see the option of jacket potatoes on the menu.Husband & daughter shared a platter,I had the soup of the day followed by hubby having the ultimate grill,I had the extra large cod farther .daughter had steak, followed by the triple ice cream dessert. We were so full which is a good thing.I hate it when you eat out and are left feeling hungry. The hot water for the bath was lovely, some people moan about the noise of the extractor fan in the bathroom, the way around this is not to put the main bathroom light on but just use the mirror light.
Nothing to complain about.
staff helpful good breakfast
