The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the building was lovely. However the hotel, despite being a lovely building was somewhat dated. The room we stayed in had no showever facilities other than a shower hose attached to the bath taps. Nothing wrong with the service just not quite as we expected. |

Once again the Chasedale provided the perfect venue for a family celebration: it's beginning to almost feel like the family home! |

This was a lucky find at the last moment! We were made most welcome by the husband and wife team who manage and run a very pleasant and comfortable hotel. The husband runs the kitchen and fed us extremely well at breakfast and dinner. It is handily placed for walking into Ross and the other way too! Not a dislike, but we should have appreciated a two-course option to the three course dinner, which was a little more than this over 70s couple needed. |

Good location and access to Ross was a 15 minute walk. Friendly staff, pretty gardens. A bit tired - in need of a refurb. Charged for an on-arrival cup of tea. We were the only guests at dinner, so lack of atmosphere not a surprise. Interesting plumbing but plenty of hot water eventually. |

We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful part of the countryside, at this lovely old and well cared for hotel, and the service was great. |

Breakfast was good. There was no shower only a bath with a rubber hose for showering which would only fit the washbasin taps. Brown water and sediment came out of the hot bath tap for the first 2-3 mins. The room was gloomy with a thin duvet on the bed. Overall the impression was of faded grandeur. Must have been a superb large house in its day. |

Quiet location Bathroom only had bath but no shower. Room/hotel smelled of old cigarette smoke, had to wash absolutely everything when I got home to get rid of smell. |
