Location Views Food
The grounds and setting of the hotel was perfect. Although we were not in the main building the room was very comfortable. The food in the restaurant was excellent and even though it was a Saturday we felt well looked after and not rushed .
There didn't seem to be anything that we did not like, apart from maybe the thinness of the walls in the bedroom.
Food was excellent best meal I have had in months! Great location and ambience for my partners birthday treat !
great location and nice hotel. Food was very good. Helpful staff.
Our room was not in the main hotel building, this means walking across the car park for breakfast. On my next visit I will insist on staying in the main hotel. If the hotel is full, then breakfast is not so good. We had issues at Sunday breakfast but on the Monday when the crowds had gone is was much better.
THE LOCATION IS BLOVELY
We liked the Chateau building itself and the setting.
The room was basic and I don't feel worth the £74 (without breakfast) we paid for it.
Very convenenient for the M5, good dinner, freshly cooked, and good restaurant service.
Slightly faded and felt like it had been downgraded - curtain in room broken, no tissues etc, reception gave me the wrong directions to my room (ie sent me up in the lift when I needed to go to a separate building).
Smiling,Professional staff. Compliments especially to the Dining room staff.
Bed much to firm and the duvet far to heavy. A lighter duvet and a spare blanket to be used if necessary would have been better.
Service in the restaurant
Impney estate is vast and the main hotel building is imposing
We stayed in the 'motel' area - Impney Court. Dated and freezing in the common areas
pretty much everything
commented to the reception that the carpet in my room could have been cleaner, there were a few stains here and there.
Really relaxing stay, room was clean and all everything that was needed was there, e.g tea making facilities, good TV, comfortable bed. We had a nice view over the beautiful manicured gardens. In all a great hotel which I'll be recommending to my friends.
The building is interesting. Staff friendly They were very nice to my pet Ocelot , Frank.
Having to be in the Midlands ,which , let`s face it is a miserable place devoid of any charm ,and full of people who talk in a despairing whine like they were brought up on Frey Bentos pies and have never seen the sun .
Location and wonderful grounds. Room was 100% Very clean
I was surprised that the price was cheaper that all the other chain hotels in the area. The room in the anex was very comfortable and the breakfast was also very nic .
Great staff, and good beer on tap.
The unlit driveway
I wanted to be in the main hotel building but still we enjoyed our stay and would like to return
The origanal hotel was superb and stood in fantastic grounds. The food was good even though for dinner I only had a light snack but breakfast was everyting you would need.
The exhibition I was attending was cancelled (not the hotel`s fault) my room was away from the main building and modern not like the hotel its self.
Main building is beautiful but stayed in the annex and was very disappointed
The annex was more 2 star no telephone no remote for tv very basic accomodation
Breakfast was good. Staff helpful
No room service if not in the main hotel.
The staff were friendly. the food was nice.
The inside of the house at the front and restaurant was disappointing it didn't relflect the magnificent architecture of the building. I was expecting more French food on the menu as last time I came I had frogs legs cooked in front of me. the staff started setting up for breakfast as I was still eating my main meal. I understand that there are functions going on,but the music was really load which I feel ruined the night a little. When the bar shut in the restaurant we were told to use the one in the function room which I found a little bit uncomfortable as there was an engagement party on
Beautiful grounds and main building
The staff are rude. The night porter did not collect our breakfast request, which meant I took it to reception at 830 the following morning. When breakfast arrived there was no milk for the cereal or butter for the toast. House keeping also tried to enter our room twice whilst we were still sleeping. After the first attempt I put the Do Not Disturb sign on the door, but 30 minutes later she returned and let herself in without even knocking. All in all this is completely ridiculous, and utterly unacceptable. I cannot recommend this venue.
Staff were very helpful and friendly. Food and comfort very good. Have been there a few times before and each time it gets better and no doubt we shall return. God Willing.
Hot water system was out of date, we had to wait a long time to have a bath, switching the boiler on and waiting for it to warm up. The radiator in the bedroom was not working, the staff bought some portable one's for us to use which wasn't very good. For a 4 star luxury hotel that was very disappointing.
