Very nice food. The breakfast regime is somewhat "unbritish" if you have bacon and eggs (one egg!) you cannot have sausage and grill tomatos as well. On The other hand, you can have Champagne with your breakfast, what more could you ask for?

The service provided by the staff was very good. The hotel exudes comfort and peace. Our room was comfortable and good value for the price and whilst being 'In the Gods', there was plenty of space. The food was excellent, although one small niggle; I would prefer my chump of lamb to be seved whole and not sliced like bacon! However, I would difinitely return. Certain parts of the hotel are looking 'tired', especially in the lounge area. The inside of the window frames was missing paint and in some areas, the wood was rotted under the paint. One electric wall fitting was surrounded byunpainted filler and looked hideous. This didn't detract from the enjoyment of our stay, but a lick of paint and some small refuirbishments would m ake all the difference.

Wonderful style and comfort. Old world atmosphere and peace but easy to get to seaside and sea activities. Lovely food and excellent bedrooms. My energy levels were restored and I came away full of this hotel that is a true hidden gem of a place. One of the most delightful places I have stayed in - perhaps the most delightful .
