The location is good and the staff are pleasant, the rooms are clean and adequate. There could be some biscuits with the tea and coffee as in most hotels. The hotel is very noisy and the cleaners seem to begin their work very early on Sunday morning, which disturbs a restful stay. Parking should be paid for by the hotel.

The location was good and staff friendly and helpful Breakfast good. Room warm & nice seaview, although window small. Spound proofing not good, could hear people walking around and talking in rooms above and next door. Hotel is in need of refurbishment. Carpets on stairs are threadbare and taps in bath very grimy, needed a good clean. Pillows were flat. could do with some new ones. Shampoo in bathroom but no conditioner and only one towel each, no hand towels.

Location on the seafront was brilliant. Handy for the lovely old town, and the hotels on the front are very elegant.

sea view - right on the seafront., ample wardrobe/shelf space, hairdryer, tray in bedrooms with tea and coffees with proper crockery,, bible in drawer, the lift, voucher to park cheaply overnight in underground car park. polite staff and reasonably varied choice at breakfast - hot and cold. tired, needs some updating, miserable TV, smallish bath towels, cleaner missed obvious bits, nowhere handy to put debris from making cups of tea etc, only appeared to offer indian meals in the evening. Single beds rather than a double - one mattress a lot better than the other one. Noisy henparty could be heard - noise echoing up through the hotel corridor, . Expensive parking locally.

Arrived with an open mind as meeting pre booked friends. Location was good. Compact accommodation yet in good order, well appointed and very clean. Excellent full English breakfast and Indian evening meal with just the right amount of service. Some areas were becoming a little tired.

It was walking distance from the spa its close to the new and old sections of Hastings town which has loads of attractions especially for children and only a hop skip and a jump from the beach. I loved walking along the broadwalk and taking the lifts to see the views that was awesome. Next time i'm bringing my husband for a spa weekend. Most of all my room was clean, I loved the view from my window and I enjoyed eating brekkie looking out at the sea. I esp liked that I was accomodated for my breakfast but I needed to be more specific with my order. Can I stay in my same room when I come back? I turned on the heater and maybe it was too high I dont know but the whole room appeared smoky so I turned it off. There was no cable which was a bit surprising. The location was absolutley fine.....except for the busy road a minor inconvenience. All in all value for money except the heater.

Bath in one of our rooms was very stained, both bathrooms very cold and we could not work the heating for them. Quite a bit of disturbance at night by revellers returning. Our son was put in a room 2 floors away from us because of broken locks. Team not ready for Easter rush at breakfast and many items not available.

The location of the hotel is perfect- it's right on the seafront, however we didn't get a room with a seaview so if booking a stay there it may be an idea to ask for one! The room was comfortable and clean with ample lighting and a powerful heater. The staff at the Chatsworth hotel were not helpful or welcoming during the stay- We were not told about any of the facilities or where they were located and were left asking other guests if they knew where the bar was! The room was over all warm and pleasant, however the shower would alternate between boiling hot and freezing cold in a matter of seconds, the tv didn't appear to have all 5 channels and the picture quality was like something out of the 80's, and the toilet didn't flush properly.

I booked the hotel then read the write ups and they were dire. I therefore expected an awful experience but was pleasantly surprised. The staff were great; the room and bed was very clean with tea/coffee making facilities and good freeview TV available. Access to wifi is limited to the reception area; I prefer to work in my room when away.

Close proximity to the town centre Dirty. Clean sheets but everything else was filthy. The bath/toilet were very stained, carpet was stained and dirty. Wallpaper was hideous. Needs a serious re-furb. It was like going back in time by 30 years.

The location was fine. Water poured through the extractor fan in the ceiling of the bathroom at 5am and none of the phones would connect to reception. The carpet on the stairs was worn through or patched in a lot of places. It was all clean and tidy though.

The breakfasts were under-cooked and served cold. I have definite doubts about The Chatsworth's food hygiene and preparation as half-cooked and/or re-heated food is dangerous and can result in serious and possible deadly consequences.

The only thing I liked was the location of the hotel itself The staff were really rude, when asked somethign a lot of the time they just looked blankly at us until we left. The breakfast was of a substandant quality, ie Hash brownbs that had been cooked a few days ago and then refried (even though they said they werent fried) the sausage served to myself and my wife as raw, - also the same to another guest in the hotel, upon telling them this i got told the sausage just looked like it was raw (it was in fact RAW) The level of clenliness was appauling and everythign was outdated and in desperate need of repair, The maids trolly was one from the local supermarket
