Situated in Hastings town center, less than a mile from Hastings Castle, Alexanders is a family-run hotel overlooking the Sussex Coast. The historic Old Town is just a short stroll along the seafront....
Score from 176 reviews Very good
Very friendly accomadating staff
The fact it's the only available place with rooms a majority of the time and the female staff member (blonde hair) very polite and helpful
Women staff member (Indian) was very rude on more than one occasion to me and my friend. Broken floor tile could cause injury cold rooms with a draft from most windows very noisy when windy in sea view rooms
Friendly helpful staff, good hotel
Wi-Fi is only available in the lounge

Although was very clean and welcoming - it was a little shabby in places
Welcoming and helpful staff; renovated and clean room; cosy and nice environment; perfect location
Very courteous staff, room and bathroom clean, sea view - all for 39 quid.
The hotel is a bit run down, but nowhere near as much as most of Hastings!
Staff very friendly
Basic hotel with very dated decor
Good over all stay
Attentive and helpful staff. Useful underground parking secure from 11pm. to 7am. for £2.
The whole place looked "past its sell by date". Bathroom in need of attention and t.l.c. Guests should be warned of function room in basement - we had disco noise until 2am. plus noisy revellers leaving after that.
everythink was ok nice room with a lovely view good for walks lots to do the old town was lovely overall nice place
some people where rude at times and i dont mean the down and out there where far to nice to talk to it was the other posh locals shame
Unbelievable the reception staff (lady) was very rude & bad her attitude toward us. She need to be send away on the course about Deaf Awareness. I feel she is not fit for that job. No respect at all.
Good room with a bay window overlooking the sea.
Legs on bed broke when laid down on it. Windows hanging off. Bathroom unclean. I.E bath hasn't seen bleach for ages. Blood stains on side of bath panel.
Sea view Cheap Comfortable bed Central location
Loud bathroom fan
I was charged for both the 24th and the 27th September although I onlu stayed on the 27th there was an error in the booking.
We liked the location of the hotel, right on the sea front. It was close to the train station and only a short walk to the old town. Our room was quite large with a sea view, which was nice.
Although the bathroom was clean, it was old and tired looking. However it was the pillows that are most memorable for being rather thin, lumpy and uncomfortable.
Doors slamming all night . Noise from corridors and adjoining rooms
Reception area was poor. Bar area no where to sit and have a drink and relax. Cleanliness was poor.
Good size room wonderful view
Bathroom very miss match holes in side shelve and stain in bath ! And hair dryer didn't work !
The rooms were well set and welcoming
Very clean, spaciuos room. Staff at front of house were very pleasant and helpful.
Breakfast was poor. There was no Continental option. "Full English" comprised; Bacon Sausage, Beans, tinned Mushrooms,Scrambled Egg and Fried Potatoes plus bread and do it yourself Toast. The Sausages were of inferior quality, the Bacon was salty and did not look appertising, the Bread was also of inferior quality (economy version). There was no Egg option ie Fried/Poached. There was no menu to show what was avaiable. Cereal was only Weetabix or Cornflake and the only fruit option was tinned Pinapple.? This was not worth the £7.50 per person that was charged.
Banging internal doors in hallway at 1.15 am.
Location Views from the room
Found bed uncomfortable No private parking No hand rail in shower
Horrible Flat Pillows. Bed right next to window. Noisy Road.
The Green Room venue private hire was very good
the bathroom was small and poky
