The friendliness of the staff it was lovely and clean and the rooms were very comfortable the bar and restaurant and food was very good The breakfast was lovely cooked fresh plus all the extras from the buffet

Did not like the pillows hurt my neck and shoulders Did not like people smoking right by the entrance doors

The all you can eat breakfast was excellent!

It was quite hot in the room . We couldn't have the window open because of the traffic but that is probably because we liv ve in the country where it is very quiet.

The helpful staff

The mattress was hard and there was not a lot of filling in the mattress as you could feel the springs and this meant tossing and turning as my body was numbed with the spring pressure on which ever side I was sleeping and my wife found the same on her side.

We have stayed here a few times and we find very good. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The breakfast is excellent value, and service also excellent.

The noise of lorries was fairly consistent, and one side of the bed was a little lumpy.

Reception staff abrupt and unfriendly during check-out. Didn't find the bed comfortable and cleaning of the room was minimalistic (cups & glasses which had been used were not cleaned/replaced).

Woke 3 times during night, with some idiot outside trying to hammer away at something very metallic!! Nothing to do with you, but would like to know what it was!!

A little far from the centre of town

All staff very professional and helpful, room satisfactory,dining was a pleasure and in a very relaxing style,all waiting staff were very good. Carpet in corridor was very rucked and could cause an accident if anyone were to trip up. We would certainly like to stay with you again. Thank you

Warm. Comfortable bed. Plenty of hot water.

Noisy (traffic/other guests), very little sleep. Cups/glasses stuck to table top. Reception too busy to talk.

Had the best nite sleep no noise heaven bed was comfy would def stay again

The bed in our room 23 was very hard, we did not sleep very well. We like the beds they have a Holiday Inn Express, but did not want to drive to Braintree, but next time we will. We will only recommend this Hotel to friends who like hard beds.

Sometimes struggled to find a parking space

Its a really good hotel to stay in when you want to visit the area. The ride into Chelmsford town is not that long. And for me it was very convenient when I was there visiting relatives.

The room was comfortable and clean and I liked having the restaurant in the same building.

I couldn't adjust the heating during the night and therefore was too hot and did not sleep.
