Staff very friendly, helpful and attentive. They allocated a locked basement room to secure cycle storage, the evening before the L2B event. Fair price for London. Bedding, towels & room clean. Not a lot really. Our basement room was a bit dingy & stuffy, shower room a bit small with no hooks to hang your clothes / towel o, but for the price you can't expect the Ritz!

24 hour reception gave good security. In room 304 one of the single beds was extremely poor with springs pushing through the mattress. The heated towel rail was on constantly and could not be turned off making the bathroom too hot to stay in.

The staff were very obliging and friendly. Overall good value for money and a good location for my business activities. You get what you pay for in life and this is a value for money guest house with all the basic amenities you require from such an establishment. The only thing that didn't suit me was the bed was too soft. Another little thing was there was no soap dispensing vessel within the shower

I've been with my dad for 3 nights and for that it was great. The room and bathroom are very tidy and clean. The facilities are modern. The staff seems friendly. Wifi (free) work well. The bus stop is at the door. Tube 10m walk. McDonald's is their neighbour which can be very convenient. Try to ask for a room not in the basement floor. It was tiny and the view was a wall with some sand and construction materials.. Our shower somehow didn't give any water. But we got a second room key to use another shower and we didn't have to move there. Although I consider that good service, we walked into people laying in bed on our last morning.. no big deal for ne but I guess they will complain hehe.

All I needed was a comfortable place to rest my head after a late gig in Brixton - the Chelsea Guest House was ideal. Straightforward, basic, no frills, good value for money. Nothing springs to mind!

No problem with 3 of us sharing a room. It was an easy walk to the Brixton O2 which is why we stayed there. For the price it was what I expected, an ok bed for the night, clean, with a nice shower. I would stay here again. Nothing really apart from my brother snoring all night... lol

We wanted to stay in the vicinity of the Chelsea Flower show at a reasonable cost. We found Chelsea Guest House to be an acceptable alternative providing good value for our money.

Location. Bathroom is tiny. No tea/coffee making facilities, which even for a budget London Hotel is pretty poor. I asked why there wasn't one and was told " they are in premium rooms". I wasn't given the option of paying extra for a tea tray either. So this morning I will have to get dressed and go from our attic bedroom, down several flights of stairs and fetch McDonalds coffee, which luckily is next door to the Guest House.

Bed was comfortable but room was quite noisy as it was at the entrance. There were no mirrors in the room. no hair drying facilities. While breakfast was not served I would have expected tea making facilities. Towels were clean but worn. I don't know how 2 people could have used the room.

The service provided by the staff was excellent! We asked for the best way to get to Brixton Academy and they offered to print us out a map to walk, gave us public transport instructions, or book us a taxi which was very helpful. There was no spare bed linen so we had a bit of an uncomfortable night having only one pillow each.

Location to train station. Great price. En-suite small but at the rate .. it had an en suite so that's good.Owners were keen to look after you. Clapham nearby and its got plenty of amenities. Quite noisy - doors banged and upstairs had a herd of elephants in! Beyond the owner's control how people treat their surroundings.

The bed was very comfortable and the decor was very nice. The room and bathroom were both a little small, with hardly any room to move round the bed but it's great for business or a city break.

Check in was quite straightforward and staff were friendly, and the room was clean I admit, and the shower was warm and worked properly, but beyond that, there were some issues. For the price that you pay, you would expect a lot more facilities in the rooms. Firstly, there are no soap bars and no shampoo, and when I asked the front desk they told me that I could buy it from the shop across the street. The lights in the hallway were always off and you had to press a button manually in order to turn them on, but when you pressed the button, the lights never came on. Therefore, I banged my nose into one of doors and had no idea where I was going until I lit up the torch on my phone. Inside the room, there was no iron, no coffee making facilities, no kettle, and no table - just a tiny little fold up desk that you eat your dinner on and fold back up again. I thought it was quite overpriced to be honest - I've stayed in hotels half that price and they had shampoo, soap included, kettle and cofee making facilities in the rooms, a better selection of TV channels, and the lights were on in the hallway so you didn't mash your nose up against some other neighbour's door. My nose still hurts. Overpriced, not that good value for money at all, but it is clean. Also note that it is not near any underground so you have to take a bus to Vauxhall. Its in a mainly residential area.
