Location We were allocated Room 135 - next to a plant room and above several air conditioning base external units under the window. These ran through the night - the noise was disturbing, contantly stopping and starting, we had a really bad night with very little sleep. We only realised the problem on going to bed at 11.30 pm. At check-out we complained - were told 'the hotel was full so we couldn't have been moved' and they 'would pass the information on - but nothing could be done'. No offer of getting the manager, a refund - anything. We have fed back separately to the hotel. Certainly would not stay there again. We are frequent travellers - Marriott and Hilton Honours card holders.

I have stayed at the Chase Hotel before and throughly enjoyed my stay, so I booked it again and will when visiting again in May. Question, When I arrived home on Saturday there was an e-mail from your company offering us a special deal on dining at the hotel, we not informed of this on our arrival.? Looking forward to our stay in May, Regards, Michael savage

Good, friendly staff. Food outstanding. The comfort of the bed could be improved by properly covering the zip that joins the two single beds to make a double.

Staff were very welcoming and continued to be very helpful throughout our stay. Our room was good, but not excellent. The meals we had were of excellent quality and of average price. However, the bottle beers which were of excellent quality were rather pricey at £4.50/bottle. The lounge area was comfortable and the ambience excellent. I hope to make use of the spa facilities next time. The fitness suite was particularly well equipped.

Very good service. Brilliant choice at breakfast. Very nice rooms. Could have provided toast to tables instead of having to do it yourself.

The room was good. I went to take my granddaughter and her husband and two boys to dinner and the restaurant was perfect for this special evening. They had their wedding reception in this hotel 13 years ago. I booked the room and stay from Spain when visitin my son and only after booking did I realise that regardless, no refund would be available for cancellation. I do not like this at all. One of the restaurant staff was over attentive trying to influence our choice of food against our own ideas. Not serious but just worth mentioning. Tables in the bar could be cleared and cleaned more quickly as someone leaves.

I was phoned at home to be told the restaurant would be closed, but there would be a selection of bar meals. There was no food available at all we were too tired to go out again.I Requested a morning paper it was not ordered. Was told that breakfast was only served till 9.a.m. this was not so,but we still got up at 7.30 to ensure we had food (people were still eating at 9.45)

The rooms here are a very good size, very clean and modern. Room facilities include... Coffee, Tea, biscuits, fridge, safe, iron and ironing board, hair drier, trouser press etc. Breakfast is hot and cold buffet style, just about everything you could want. Free wifi is always a great feature and some rooms even have a continental plug socket which is great for me as I live in Spain. All the staff we experienced were polite and friendly. The leisure centre has a good range of equipment and use of the whirl pool, sauna and steam room only added to our chilled break at the Cheltenham Chase. Due to a conference being held in the restaurant, there was a slight problem with breakfast one morning, we mentioned this to the Operations manager (Simon Green) who dealt with our issue in a charming and professional manner, his actions managed to turn a negative into a positive. Look forward to returning soon. If you book a double room, you may find that your mattress is in fact two single mattresses zipped up the middle! This can be quite uncomfortable when laying in the middle! Mentioned this at reception and they duly changed our zipped up mattress to a double mattress.

My room is comfortable n really clean. The hotel is quite new. The cleaner broke into my room in the morning around 8 am. She thought we were group-tour residents, but we were sleeping at that moment. It was a very bad experience!

My partner and I had a lovely 3 night break at the Cheltenham Chase q hotel. Excellent hotel room- huge size, huge and comfy bed, lovely bathroom. Setting of hotel was great- walking distance to the famous Coopers Hill. Breakfasts (served buffet style with everything you could possibly want) were delicious. Staff were very welcoming and efficient. I also had facial in spa-well worth it. Pool and sauna etc were lovely, if a little crowded. We had one evening meal on first night that was very mediocre.1.Although we were only having mains the waiting staff didn't remove starter butlers.2.Food was very expensive for what it was.3. Service was very slow.4. Gourmet burger was very small.and waiter didn't offer any condiments so we had to wait for ages before we could catch waiting staff attention.5. Chicken Caesar salad was delicious except for the chicken coming on the bone with very flaccid skin on it. Would have been better had it been strips of chicken cooked on griddle. It is a real shame that we found fault with the meal as otherwise our stay was perfect!!.we would still definitely recommend this hotel and we would definitely go back, just not for dinner!

The rooms were well laid out, very smart , clean and comfortable. The staff were very helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. As our visit was for my husbands birthday I wanted to arrange some spa treatments for our stay. I telephoned on the Wednesday - 2 days before and was reassured that the SPA would be open until 8pm on the Friday and would not be a problem booking treatments. When we arrived on the Friday the treatment salon was already fully booked. Perhaps the foot fish should go and expand the treatment side of the SPA, particularly for weekends.

Friendly helpful staff, but a couple of niggles - see below - the location and facilities were also a big pull. Having stayed before this year in a suite (5 nights), my wife and I were less impressed by the standard room (9 x nights). That said it was quiet, clean and comfortable. The staff are well trained and always offer a greeting when passing - a small courtesy but very welcome! The breakfast was excellent with great choice and top quality food on offer all in very pleasant surroundings with views of the countryside making for a good start to the day. Regards, Jeremy Lay Not much in the negativejust a couple of points:!1). I noticde other guests having to wait to seated at breakfast time. This happened to me twice (10 mins can seem like an age when you are on a schedule), and it was made worse by the lack of apology by staff when they eventually arrived. This needs addressing! 2). I know it is subjective, but I would recommend changing the piped music to something more cheerful - the sleepy tunes on offer kill the ambiance and instead create more of a nursing home feel.... Enough said.

From beginning to end of our stay we were treated as a very special couple. Nothing was too much trouble for all of the staff. Especially "Faithful" in the restaurant and "Rhys" also in the restaurant; both exceedingly hospital and obliginh at all times. The personnel at the Spa were more than hospitable and ensured our various treatments were well performed and very relaxing. We both thotoughly enjoyed our stay - the food was excellent. i was also allowed to play my bagpipes in the resturant in the evening to celebrate a young lady and her gilrs preparing for marraige; and also a group of female african ladies of some distinction who were just visiting and had never seen or heard bagpipes! Other guests seemed to enjoy the unusual entertainment. Dinner plates were not heated. The coffee and teapots were not heated before being filled thus the heat was removed from the food to heat the plate and coffee/tea pots. a very small point indeed.
