It was a very relaxing break.

One one of the days the breakfast staff seemed more interested in talking to each other than clearing away dirty dishes and ensuring that items like butter and bread were replenished.

I was phoned at home to be told the restaurant would be closed,but there would be a selection of bar meals.There was no food available at all we were too tired to go out again.I Requested a morning paper it was not ordered. Was told that breakfast was only served till 9.a.m. this was not so,but we still got up at 7.30 to ensure we had food (people were still eating at 9.45)

My partner and I had a lovely 3 night break at the Cheltenham Chase q hotel. Excellent hotel room- huge size, huge and comfy bed, lovely bathroom. Setting of hotel was great- walking distance to the famous Coopers Hill. Breakfasts (served buffet style with everything you could possibly want) were delicious. Staff were very welcoming and efficient. I also had facial in spa-well worth it. Pool and sauna etc were lovely, if a little crowded.

We had one evening meal on first night that was very mediocre.1.Although we were only having mains the waiting staff didn't remove starter butlers.2.Food was very expensive for what it was.3. Service was very slow.4. Gourmet burger was very small.and waiter didn't offer any condiments so we had to wait for ages before we could catch waiting staff attention.5. Chicken Caesar salad was delicious except for the chicken coming on the bone with very flaccid skin on it. Would have been better had it been strips of chicken cooked on griddle. It is a real shame that we found fault with the meal as otherwise our stay was perfect!!.we would still definitely recommend this hotel and we would definitely go back, just not for dinner!

Attention to detail and staff going above and beyond

The double bed in our room was 2 singles pushed together which was uncomfortable

Friendly helpful staff, but a couple of niggles - see below - the location and facilities were also a big pull. Having stayed before this year in a suite (5 nights), my wife and I were less impressed by the standard room (9 x nights). That said it was quiet, clean and comfortable. The staff are well trained and always offer a greeting when passing - a small courtesy but very welcome! The breakfast was excellent with great choice and top quality food on offer all in very pleasant surroundings with views of the countryside making for a good start to the day. Regards, Jeremy Lay

Not much in the negativejust a couple of points:!1). I noticde other guests having to wait to seated at breakfast time. This happened to me twice (10 mins can seem like an age when you are on a schedule), and it was made worse by the lack of apology by staff when they eventually arrived. This needs addressing! 2). I know it is subjective, but I would recommend changing the piped music to something more cheerful - the sleepy tunes on offer kill the ambiance and instead create more of a nursing home feel.... Enough said.

the hotel was well situated for the purpose of our visit,a good modern hotel with excellent facilities,clean room and good food served by friendly staff

we had a problem at reception. we booked a twin room for two people with breakfast for two nights. We were told the second person would have to pay £10 per day for breakfast as the twin room had only been booked for one person.We asked to speak to the duty manager who solved the problem immediatlely and was very professional and efficient

Very quite at night,good breakfast lovely staff.

Not anywhere to go in the evenings without using transport.

I took my mum to stay at the hotel for her birthday. Our double room was lovely, clean and spacious. We had a nice afternoon relaxing in the spa and a really great meal in the restaurant. We found the waiting staff to be particularly friendly and helpful.

splendid location,plenty of parking spaces reception area spacious and welcoming,.ease of access.Bar area comfortable.Rooms with nice and relaxing decor,fridge was handy sufficient cupboard space and the bed was king size and comfortable.Toilet well designed with separate shower cubicle.Swimming pool was excellent. Other facilities in pool area excellent.Staff friendly and helpful.

Picky really but collection of room service plates and glasses was slow.left outside rooms in corridor and possible health and safety risk.Cleaners were in attendance but ignored the empty plates and glasses not a pretty sight.

Everything was very well designed for the guest's covenience and the staff, on the whole, were extremely helpful and friendly. The grounds of the hotel were lovely and I particularly liked the areas of wild garden which obviously attracted wildlife. The location, for us, was great as it was far enough away from towns, such that it was quiet, but near enough to visit many attractions.

It would have been a good idea at the time of booking, if I had been advised to book any desired spa treatments, as by the time I tried, there were none left. Also, I think it would have helped if we'd been advised to book dinner earlier, as on one occasion, we had the last booking, which was later than we'd have wished.
