    High standard of service.

No lift which means at least one or two flights of stairs to bedrooms and many more stairs to restaurant, bar etc.

Hotel is in lovely surroundings with easy access to city centre and also the Cotswold. Room was a good size, bed very comfortable, and the free WiFi an added bonus. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great, and plenty of it. Will definitely stay again. Very warm and they had put a fan in the room which was very welcome. Thank you.

No lift, especially difficult with luggage. Not really a problem to us though.

Location close to a good golf course, pleaseant patio area, bar lounge and the swimming pool.

No air conditioning in the bedroom on a very warm summer's night made sleeping fitful.

The bed was comfortable. The room was clean.

Reception staff who were too pre-occupied with telephone and computer to pay any attention to guests wanting to check in. Shower that could not be adjusted to give any water other than tepid. No butter or decaff coffee at breakfast. Not modern-day attention to detail.

Liked the character of the hotel, the staff were friendly and polite even if a little inexperienced.

Dining arrangements were muddly. Dinner was expensive taking into account quality and quantity.

Basically alright for a one night stay. Quiet situation.

Too many stairs. No lift. Single room very small and the one small window hardly opens to let fresh air in.

Location of hotel and grounds. The staff were helpful. The pool was ideal for the older children to let off steam. The closeness to town.

The bathroom was in need of repair - Plastic plug on a chain to replace broken pop up plug. The cold tap was almost impossible to move and was therefore in need of repair.

It was clean and the staff were very keen to help rectify the problems I encountered.

There is no fridge or air conditioning in the room. Bath robes do not come as standard for all rooms. The restaurant menu was not particularly interesting and was more like bar food.

Well appointed gym. Massive room and really quiet. Tasty food and excellent breakfast choice.

Bathrooms are a little jaded and worn, but no biggie! Wifi was a little flakey.

I liked the position of the hotel, the helpful reception staff, who took the trouble to draw us a map of where we were trying to find. And I enjoyed the use of the pool

Never really enjoy the buffet style breakfast at hotels, but that is what you get these days.

The hotel facilities were good, nice clean pool and changing room area. The staff on reception were friendly and helpful, bar staff were very nice and friendly, rooms were clean but abit tired looking, very good location.

Booked a table in the restaurant for 8pm, was taken to our table and offered one menu as they had run out (the restaurant wasn't full) and would bring another one when available and would we like a drink, we were given the wine list and told he would return for our order. No further menu arrived. Two further groups of people arrived after us and we're served drinks, couldn't get eye contact to let waiter know we were still waiting, the other groups were then asked for their food order by the same waiter, at this point 25 minutes after sitting down we walked out, informed the head waiter who just said "oh sorry about that" and carried on. We went next door to The Clock Tower and was served straight away. My husband was upset about the incident as he was treating me to a weekend away and wanted it to be special.

    Comfortable room

Breakfast a little disappointing. Cooked food only lukewarm and disappointed to not have tea and coffee brought to the table.
