Lovely area would suit most people.
Lovely area would suit most people. There are hidden gems if you like to explore. Plenty of shopping facilities. Easy to eat out at reasonable prices. The roads are clearly signed and easy to navigate. A great base for either staying in Barrow-in=Furness or travelling around the lakes daily.
A quiet holiday to extreme adventures, your choice is within the Lake District.

Hotel does not provide value for money, much better hotels available for cheaper price. Pockets of good/excellence from staff, but major improvements required in the hospitality food preparation particularly for breakfast, which was extremely dissappointing. Generally, grounds are okay but nothing particularly special, the description and photos, do not accurately reflect the experience.
Would not take much to improve all round, as a number of staff were very nice and supportive.

This place has a really negative aura.
This place has a really negative aura. I can't even explain why but I was anxious while there. We should have booked a stay much closer to the Lakes or at least in Ulverston that is just a stone's throw away.

Staff was amazing. Room was lovely clean and well set out. Cleaned everyday. Close to lakes. Had a few lovely days out at the lakes with a fraction of the hotel price to stay there. Had a walk around barrow and everyone was so friendly. The pub attached to the hotel was clean and cheap and convenient . Food was excellent. Couldn't fault anything. Thank you furness railway. We really enjoyed our stay
The hotel was very comfortable, quiet and cosy, in an ideal location for the town centre and nearby restaurants. The bed was really comfortable and the temperature was just right at night (not too hot as most hotels are). Immaculate bathroom with a great shower. The staff were really friendly and helpful throughout and everything was very well managed in terms of social distancing and cleaning.
Room was clean and tidy and had everything we needed. We asked not to be put any higher than first floor and we were given a ground floor room so our request was acknowledged. Nice bar come lounge area to sit in. Breakfast was very nice and plenty of variety. Staff all helpful and friendly. Plenty of onsite parking. Quiet albeit the hotel was on a main road.
It's in a great location near the railway station.
The staff that we met in the hotel were very friendly and informative and couldn't have been nicer.
We had 2 meals in the hotel evening and breakfast and both were cooked well so thank you Weatherspoons for providing us with a good staycation.
The hotel was exceptional, great suite! Only down side if you stay in the spring suite you will smell the food being cooked directly below the room. The food at oscars restaurant was so good, and cheaper than our bill at restaurant in Windermere. We loved it, the staff were amazing.
The hotel is located near the main shopping area of Barrow in Furness opposite the town hall, although a lot of shops are boarded up this has no reflection on this outstanding hotel. The breakfast are delicious, the staff are very friendly and informative.
The hotel is amazingly dog friendly, with an ample field opposite the hotel to walk .
There is a park on site for kids, which was utilised and the children had fun
The staff were friendly and the food was good. Would definitely recommend..
Great hotel located in the heart of barrow centre , clean well presented and friendly staff , havent really got any complaints about anything this is my second visit and won't be my last
We loved the decor and size of room. The bathroom was great with large shower. The staff were really helpful and friendly. The hotel was very clean and in good location with parking.
Hotel is really close to the beach and lovely views from the property. Staff are very friendly with lots of knowledge of the best places to visit whilst staying.
Conveniently located, with a huge car park across the street (free after 6 pm and on Sundays) and good price for a town centre hotel. Nice front desk staff
