The bar in the original part of the pub is nice and cosy although the sofas are very tired looking. I had venison for dinner which was lovely but my husband had partridge which unfortunately was not so good.
The shower in our bathroom was over a small bath which you have to stand in to shower in a very cramped space it was incredibly hot, we could not control the temperature. The blinds in the bedroom are very dated. I found the hotel fairly disappointing.
Food in both the restaurant and bar was fab
Very enjoyable stay , great pub , food and drink excellent. Very reasonably priced .
Very helpful staff, good food and a warm atmosphere in the bar, room was clean and comfortable....everything I needed
Thought it was a bit expensive when breakfast paid considering the basic though comfortable
Due to our early starts we left too early to have breakfast which was disappointing. We basically only slept there as we also returned quite late .
great place , good food, a real English pub and a great hotel with lovely rooms , We want to go back again soon.
Lumpy bed, mattress springs close to surface, long overdue for replacement.
friendly staff, excellent choice of food and great pub garden
small double bed - king prefered
friendly, extremely helpful staff.
The welcome, the friendliness of staff, the atmosphere in the pub, the food (exceptional) Rooms clean and functional with everything needed. All in all brilliant and excellent value.
The location was lovely.
Do not stay in room 16!! There is an extractor fan from the kitchen right outside the window, which makes an incessant roar and fills the room with smells from the kitchen. It does stop at night but started at 7.30 am and when we were changing to go out in the evening the room was full of garlic prawns and chips smells. We tried to air the room by opening everything wide, but while we were not in the room somebody must have crept in and shut everything up again, thus stiflingly hot again.
The Inn has a beautiful pub with a large garden. It's in the middle of a field which is an amazing location. The food is great too.
No prosecco by the glass, only by the bottle :)
Friendly pub environment
Sound insulation in rooms
Good location, good value for money, friendly staff. I would stay again. very good
Great bar area, lovely real ales, huge beer garden
lounge could do with refurb...
Staff were very helpful and friendly.
The small country pub at the front of the hotel is excellent and adds so much character to the place. The ale choice is good and the pub food is fantastic.
helpful and accommodating staff good location
Clean comfortable room, friendly welcoming staff, wonderful food.
Good quality and value for food (bar or restaurant) and good selection of beers/wines etc. Rooms clean and tidy/ fair value for money.
Nothing to dislike.
Committed and friendly staff. Rooms well maintained and nice touches with water and snacks. The pub side had good beers and a real country pub atmosphere while the restaurant produced fine dining and a very good wine list. A real find.
The rooms were lovely and the food was cracking!
Leaving to go to work!
