Very helpful and friendly owners. Wonderful room with lovely views. The best full English breakfast I've had anywhere.

Traffic noise can be a little intrusive as on the main road.

Very good position, convenient for walking into Glenridding. Welcoming, friendly and charming hosts. Extremely helpful. Very comfortable room and an excellent shower with good pressure, (very important for us). Would definitely recommend it.

The only criticisms we could have were the limited TV channels and the lack of gluten-free and sugar-free options for breakfast, as far as the cereals, yoghurt and toast were concerned. The full English was great!

Room was perfect. Comfortable king size bed, with view across the lake. Little extras like chilled water in fridge/corkscrew etc very welcome. Very short walk into village for Ullswater steamers and local restaurants/cafes.

Owners were very welcoming, nothing too much trouble. Location great for the area we wanted to visit plus stunning view of the lake from our window. Excellent breakfast

If I was being super critical I would say the bed was a little too firm for us

Charming proprietors, lovely room, comfy bed. Very handy location for the centre of the town.

The only comment I would make is that we wouldn't have wanted to sleep in the room we had if the people above had been active late into the night as the noise of footsteps/voices would be sufficient to keep us awake. Fortunately they went to bed soon after us and peace reined!

Staff very helpful very friendly.Location excellent for starting walks from.Local facilities sufficient.3 local pubs.Nice games room in the b&b.Plenty of local information to hand.

Advertised as 'free wine' on with booking?.We didn't receive any.Room small. We were both tripping over our bags half the time.We both felt it was overpriced for the size.Bedroom felt stuffy and uncomfortable.Pillows like bricks.Flies and midges were already in the room and we were both bitten numerous times in the night despite spraying near the windows...Shower flooded part of floor even with door closed.Just not worth the extra we thought we were paying for.The photographs make it seem much bigger and more secluded. The vegetarian breakfast option was simply mushrooms with beans and toms.Egg if you wanted it.In other words - a breakfast with the meat removed. A little more effort with food goes a long way.Hash browns? Veg sausage?Other b&bs I've stayed at are far cheaper and better. Its the location for walkers and its run by a nice couple that makes this stand out.

Lovely couple running the b&b. It was set in a great location with amazing views.... we were visiting as we had planned to walk up Helvelyn. The b&b was beautiful with lovely bedroom furniture and the breakfast was amazing. We would defiantly use this b&b again and would fully recommend others to do so. Also they have a room with books, piano, board games with music playing its really relaxing : )

Very friendly and helpful owners who can never do enough to help their guests enjoy their stay. Always on hand to help and go the extra mile to make it a really great stay. We stayed on the ground floor and had a very comfortable room with a clean bathroom and a great view of the lake from our window! The breakfast was great so would recommend paying the small amount on top of the room price for this. Great location, ideally situated for access to nearby restaurants for dinner.

No real negatives - very pleasant stay, everything well kept. Only initial small negative was the tight driveway to get to the car park area, but a skilled driver can easily overcome this! At the time we were there, they had had a water leak, but even this did not hinder our stay - they explained the situation, and anything they had to do to resolve their issue did not affect our stay at all.
