Staff are great.
Location - near beach & shops Very quiet & clean spacious
creaky floorboards in our ground floor bedroom
Suitable accomodation for a family of five. Loved swimming, jacuzzi and games room. The restaurant next door is reasonable price and good food.
The games room may need a bit updating and some of the machines need fixing.
We liked the pool very much and the hours for swimming were good. We booked due to the pool. Good temperature for swimming and the kids stayed in ages. The apartment was spacious, fairly modern and clean. Very happy with that. Used the gym every day. Limited selection of free weights but I was very pleased to be able to keep up my workouts with what was there. Others used the treadmills and there was a rowing machine I didn't use.
The beds weren't the best. Dated mattresses. They weren't too hard but had no padding, just not good quality. Very hot when we were there and the games room was very musty.
The Kitchen was spotless and well equipped. The location was excellent. A very quiet place.
The carpets in the bedrooms were very badly stained. The laminate floor from bedroom to bathroom creaked very loudly. The fire alarm went off and we were outside for 45 minutes. No apology or explanation was given. My husband has walking difficulties and was badly shaken. We had a meal in the Chequers which was ok for me, the meal offered to my husband was dreadful. We had waited so long for it, he ate what he could. We complained on payment, but were not even offered a discount. These apts have great potential, but could be improved by spending a little money by replacing Bedroom Carpets and providing comfortable seating in the apartments. Bed settee is not comfortable to sit on.
The hotel was really clean and spacious. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly, especially Jerry. We initially booked for 3 nights but ended up staying 4 due to the ferry being cancelled and they were very helpful. The restaurant had lovely food although a little expensive. The rooms were lovely.
staff we're lovely
The staff were always friendly and took time to chat with our 3 year old twins. The location is great for the likes of the steam train (for access to the rest of the island), rail museum and beach etc. The only bedroom had 2 single beds (ideal for the kids) whilst the main room had a fold out sofa bed that we could flop onto in the evening.
The main dislike was the distance from the lift to the room, although we had to take the holiday at the last minute so we may have been able to get a better room with an earlier booking.
Spotless apartment, excellent restaurant, helpful staff.
Even though it did need updating everyone was so polite and made are first holiday as a family enjoyable best wishes to everyone there Daniel Hayley ruby xx
TV was a bit small and floorboards a bit creaky, and the sofa bed was not very comfortable
the warm welcome on arrival , and the friendly staff , the quality of the apartment it came with every thing we needed for our stay and friendliness of staff and the quality of the apartment
the apartments where top class there is every thing you need for a good holiday
we liked the position and easy access. The restaurant was very good.
Great location, lots of space, lovely and clean. Kitchen in apartment was very nice, and had everything we needed. Staff were very helpful and made our stay very pleasant
Very helpful and cheerful staff-Vani and Jerry in particular.
Seemed a bit worn out.
Great location for the apartments, walking distance from the beach/harbour, on site parking, supermarket around the corner. This was a first time trip to the IOM on motorcycles for myself & son and a 2 bedroom apartment for only a little more money seemed a better prospect than a twin room in a guest house. It was ! The games room and attached pub was a bonus. Port Erin is a pleasant 20 min drive from the ferry at douglas or ten mins from the airport. A great base to explore this beautiful island.
Best part of our stay, we like most to spend in the hotel. Everything is good and staff are very helpful and friendly. Good customer service.
nothing to say
nice spacious rooms with good facilities. close to airport.
the toilet was very difficult to flush and the tap on sink was difficult to turn. the shower could be more up to date but overall a pleasant stay.
Gerry and the staff were great, they were very friendly, polite, they couldn't do enough for us. We really enjoyed are stay here.
There wasn't anything we didn't like.
Nice friendly staff and good value for money.
Very dated, In need of modernisation
As stated good location staff friendly and helpfull , clean and comfy will be staying again later on in the year
We had plenty of space and the blinds on the windows helped to keep the early morning light out so we could get a bit more sleep. The staff were friendly and the restaurant food and staff were excellent. I liked the swimming pool and jacuzzi although the leisure facilities need to be updated.
We had requested a highchair, but when we got there it was filthy. The straps were covered in cereal that was stuck on and the sides and underside of the tray were covered in something sticky. We complained and it was cleaned whilst we were out, but when we came back only a small part had been cleaned off the side, the straps still had cereal stuck on and the underside of the tray was still sticky. The valance sheet of our bed looked like it hadn't been washed, there was something on it and there was rubbish on the floor in the bedroom. Some of the cutlery in the drawer was dirty too. I felt the apartment could do with a refurb to freshen it up.
The spacious apartment with living room and kitchen area Friendly receptionist on arrival. The facilities ie swimming pool, games room, gym etc That there was a restaurant close by and a large store nearby to do some food shopping.
The decor in the reception area need to be more brighter and inviting. The furniture needs updating in the living room of the apartment ie dining chairs broken
Location - apartment was within walking distance to the beach, take aways, restaurants, shops. Staff were fantastic. Food in hotel was great and kids were made welcome. Apartment had everything we needed. Did not hear noise from any of the neighbouring apartments.
Sheets in twin room were a little thread bear. Found a biscuit from a previous tenant under the bed. Floor in main living area was a bit grubby. Otherwise apartment was fine, perhaps a little dated.
Gerry was naturally friendly and particularly helpful. So often these days I find staff seem try and act friendly with lots of "buzz" words as if reading from a "song sheet". Gerry was genuinely pleased to see us and keen to make our stay as good as possible. Thanks Gerry. Nothing more to say with all the "excellent" boxes ticked.
Had a meal in "The chequers" one evening and whilst the food was good we did have to wait almost an hour. (It wasn't busy.) I think our order must have been forgotten, but these things happen.
