At Cherry Garth Guest House, each room is individually decorated with warm colors, wooden details and comfortable beds. They come with toiletries and tea/coffee making facilities. Excellent staff, excellent location excellent breakfast. Blackout roof blind great! Staff very good, offering to help with luggage etc and fab breakfast choice. Great value for money. Room at top of house! Carpet in bathroom, prefer cleanliness of wipe clean floor covering.

Conveniently tucked away from the town centre but only 5 minutes walk to all the pubs, restaurants and shops. Being there on business I would have liked free Wifi

Nice friendly bed and breakfast, family run ... nothing too much trouble. Excellent breakfasts. Staff always available for any problems and able to advise of local facilities. Excellent information in rooms about the b&b including its history. General leaflets for boat trips, local places, days out and timetables also available. Comfortable bed. We've stayed here a few times and like the standard room for budget and the deluxe room for comfort. Nice views from the windows, very friendly place easily accessible to Ambleside and Windermere and popular with walkers and couples like us who like a nice friendly and comfortable base for days out and boat trips. Will continue to come back here as we love Ambleside and always have a comfortable and happy stay at Cherry Garth. Would be happy to recommend to anyone. Can't really think of anything on a downside for this place

The girls who run the hotel were very helpful indeed. The room was spotless and comfortable, and the breakfast was superb. I would certainly stay here again. Nothing.

The location It's a bit tired. Toilet did not flush properly due to poor maintenance. Unable to stand up in the shower due to a sloping ceiling. Same in the bedroom unable to stand in half of the room due to ceiling.

The location to Shops Pubs and restaurants is excellent, (100yds to nearest pub) But far enough away from the main road to ensure a quiet atmosphere. Car parking facility excellent Nothing comes to mind, its my second visit and Cherry Garth totally fits my needs

Delicious full English breakfasts. Staff very helpful Nice relaxed come and go as you please atmosphere. Room 6 - My son said there was a spring in his mattress that dug into him - Poor shower water pressure. Room 1 - also poor water pressure and either scalding water or cold water to shower.

Staff where very accomodating and helpful. People's older comments about it being dated - it's like most hotels in the Lake District area so I could not see any issues with it. Breakfast was fine me enjoyable with a variety. They also let me stay with a dog which was great.

Everything better than expected. Good location & friendly owners. Upgraded room was a nice surprise and very comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic. Would recommend to anyone. Nothing at all.

It was a very pleasant experience. The owners were very friendly and helpful and we were allowed to take our dog which was marvellous. The room was lovely, a good sized bedroom and bathroom which was very clean and replenished daily. Execellent breakfast.

The rooms were very big we stayed in the top priced room and had a separate shower and jacuzzi bath. The hotel is in a fantastic location around a 3 minute walk to Ambleside town centre and only a couple of minutes in the other direction to reach the tip of lake Windermere. Also it is a very good base for a number of walks we only stayed for one night but it is very close to loughrigg fell and rydal vale. Breakfast was fantastic choice everything u could possibly want was available. Overall a fantastic guest house.

The owners of Cherry garth are very friendly and accomodating. The room we stayed in was clear, comfortable and had a lovely view. Breakfast service was good, it was good to see a vegetarian breakfast as an option. I cannot say there was anything we did not like.
