Despite the conditions of the room (worn out carpet and old bed) it was extremely clean. The toilet was bigger than the room itself and was also a plus. The carpet had many holes and the bed was very noisy. During the night some springs would just spring very loudly and wake me up.

Loved the location and they were more than happy for us to leave our bags way before check in . Poor quality: tap falling off being held on my the hose! Toilet flush hanging from the wall and remains on unroll you push all back in wall! Very small room. Looking at a wall! No tea or coffee? One pillow as flat as a pancake! Booking in was meant to be at 3pm no rooms available till 4:15... It was 160 pounds not exactly cheap...would most defiantly pay more for better hotel! Hardly one star let alone 3, wall paper hanging from the walls lifts that take forever... And very unsafe slippery stairs !

Staff is very decent and respectfull. Want to help. Proximity to close center of town, undergrounds, shops etc. Clean and tidy. No WiFi in the rooms, only in the lobby (and you pay it extra) and i couldnt get it to work neither on my computer nor my phone. Not very hygienic plastic courtain in the showers. You have to pay extra for the tv. Elevator is weird.

none I'm writing to you to complain about the condition of our room, number 202, at your hotel. My partner and I have just returned from a weekend in London, where we spent one night in your hotel in a double bedroom. On arrival at your hotel at 11am we were told that the room was not ready and would not be before 3pm. When we returned we were given a small, odd shaped looking room at the end of the corridor. To our dismay the quality of this room was rather poor in relation to the price of £149 charged by you for the night. There was only one switch in the room which operated all electrical points , including the lights in the bedroom and in the on-suite bathroom. Once you turned the bathroom lights off, you were not able to turn on the bedside lights or the table light. If you left all the lights switched on, you heard a constant buzzing sound of the ventilation system in the bathroom, which was quite irritating. The standard of the furniture in your hotel room was also rather low. Not only was the furniture old and of poor quality, the bedsprings could be felt when lying down on our rather soft double bed. I woke up several times as I could not get comfortable. During the night my partner and I were woken up several times by other hotel guests on our corridor, laughing and shouting loudly. We also had problems adjusting the 'curtain', which consisted of a cloth that was provisionally fastened to the small window. Further more, as the bathroom shower head was defect the water was leaking from the shower head with increased water pressure. The temperature was also hard to control, not something you want to have to deal with every time you have a shower. In the morning there was no chance to either have a warm drink from a kettle or a cold drink from a fridge, as none of these facilities were supplied. When we departed the next morning and asked your staff to keep our luggage for a short time, we were told to pay £5 each for storage.

Only the location - the standards at this hotel are very poor. We paid £159 for a tiny room in the basement, breakfast not included. Television did not work and they wanted to charge us for left luggage - I could go on.....

Location is unbeatable. All in all, quite a good choice for the budget traveller. Carpet was threadbare and a few other things were a bit scruffy.

Location is excellent I booked a double room. I got a small room in the basement without a window. I had only 50cm of space around the bed to walk! Awful! I asked for another room but they said that is the double room:

There were ants in our room in the BASEMENT! They gave us a new room after begging! which was a 3/4 bed between two! Let alone the fact I am 5 months pregnant! The bathroom flooded, the tv didn't work! And never slept all night as kitchen and cupboards were next door to room! We then got a 'complimentary' breakfast? Which consisted of a small pot of tea and ONE slice of toast each!
