Stayed for 1 night and the check in was easy and helpful. Stayed for a Function which went off well. In the evening had food in the Bar which was well prepared and the Staff could not be more helpful. Went back to the room and slept on a conformable bed. In the morning had a good breakfast which was included before leaving. Will be staying there again.
large, clean, well appointed rooms. Great customer service, good food (dinner and breakfast). Good location.
No complaints at all
The breakfast was amazing. Everything was very hot. As they had small amounts out but kept topping it up all the time.
Room size, food delicious ,breakfast had everything you could want, very polite staff nothing too much trouble. We were visiting friends for a couple of days used the lounge for coffees etc most welcoming. We
Bed too soft but rest of facilities excellent
Excellent hotel.Really nice room. V Comfortable bed. Plenty of parking.
Noisy heating system in room. Food in restaurant though good was abit on the expensive side. Other than that nothing to complain about
The room was big and spacious and clean and tidy. There was tea making facilities and a fridge!!!
Pillows in sofa could do with some washing , I saw few stains on them. But overall all good.
The room was very comfortable (though see not so good points) and the hotel looked clean. Parking was included in the price.
The room (167) was by the stairs and we were constantly woken up by people using the stairs and the doors. The restaurant, although quite nice was very overpriced which probably accounted for the small number of diners.
All the staff were very friendly and helpful. I asked for and was given a quiet room. There was plenty of choice at breakfast and staff went out of their way to provide little extras, ie individual tea pots.
The price of the drinks at the bar. Some nights the car park was full and it was difficult to find a space. The two small red lights above the bed which flashed all night.
Pool facilities Helpful & friendly staff
Having to pay £15 per 24 hours for Wifi
EVERYTHING WAS OF THE VERY HIGHEST STANDARDS VERY HELPFUL AND INFORMED RECEPTION.EXCELLENT SERVICE IN THE BARS AND RESTAURANT
PAYING FOR THE CAR PARK
The staff here were exceptional, I have never had customer service like this, always smiling and couldnt do enough to please you. We were upgraded (with no extra cost) and the place was immaculately clean
The hotel itself wasnt of great design ie draft through front door made the restaurant area chilly marriott should address this
The beds were very comfortable.
We did not eat in the restaurant as we only stayed one night. If I was staying longer I don't think I would have eaten there as it was not very inviting. Not very cosy and warm. It was too open plan. Also with the teas making facilities in the room, we normally would get two packs of biscuits , we only had one between us. I feel this was a bit mean for a Marriott hotel and not what we have been used to. Also only one little bottle of shampoo and as I would like to shower morning and evening there was not enough. We don't bring our shampoo etc. when staying at a Marriott as normally they are very well equipped with this sort of thing.
Straightforward good service and comfort
The bar prices !
Staff and rooms
this hotel has modern, big rooms, a rarity in England. Spotless rooms, great service and meals and easy commute into London
there is nothing that I didn't like
Clean throughout the hotel. Large room, comfortable beds, good shower with plenty of hot water. Breakfast was excellent as were the staff. Used the swimming pool and area, nice and relaxing.
Civility of staff, close proximity to motorway and very comfortable surroundings.
Although staff very attentive the breakfast was not very warm.
The attentive staff, the comfortable beds, the good food and the facilities for relaxation all made our short stay one to remember.
Wifi in the rooms would be good but there was plenty of available space in the lounge areas to use the 24 hour wifi.
Having to pay a £50 deposit?!? Why? You take £50 dep from our card and refund it on departure, which takes a few days to be refunded.
very pleasant stay hotel bit difficult to find did not stay for breakfast thought it a bit pricey. It was ideal for what we wanted.
breakfast was good
rooms look old fashioned, the facilities are basic, the indoor pool is mini--size - all together the quality is not worth the cost.
I booked two standard rooms at this hotel. The rooms were not ready at check in time and my guests were given a free upgrade to a suite. They were very happy with their accommodation.
My standard room overlooked the rear of the leisure facilities. My room was extremely hot. The air conditioning did not work and when I opened the window for ventilation the constant noise of the vent from the leisure facilities was very loud and prevented me from sleeping. I reported the fault but the hotel did nothing, even when prompted.
Very noisy neighbours which kept us awake.
First receptionist and junior bar and waiting staff very friendly and helpful. Close to shops.
Senior receptionists could do with a smile and friendlier approach as with some of the senior bar staff. Didnt enjoy breakfast...pool was poor along with dressing rooms across a hallway.
The most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. Not a cramped hotel room like many others. Amazing.
We had to go home in the morning.
