The quick check in with helpful staff and the location on Hoole Road.
The owner of the place is a wonderful man. We felt very home during the 4 days stay. The breakfast everyday was the same but we enjoyed it each day. The room was very cosy.
everything staff are excellent

Staff, very helpful and pleasant, hotel was very clean and well presented.
As we only slept there we can't comment on any thing else, but what we saw we were very pleased with.
nice room ,nice staff And the breakfast is realy good. would stay again.
Generally clean sheets, towels and bathroom. Very friendly staff, lovely well cooked breakfast, plenty of choice. Nice character to hotel, bar and lounge tasteful.
Bed hard, lumpy pillows, grey net curtains. Slightly mouldy shower which was extremely loud, it was like being inside a jet engine! No evening food, had to search for a takeaway, could do with info about facilities in the room.
Not too far from town centre - about 20 minute walk. Breakfasts were very good.
Bed base had split in the side and bathroom could have been cleaner. Wifi in main building was fine but could not log on in the bedroom which was out in a courtyard. Evening meals would have been a bonus.
brilliant staff very helpful. the individual rooms outside in the courtyards. everything was spot on.
not having enough time in chester
This was my second visit and I was visiting this time for my daughters Graduation ceremony. The hotel is easy to find as it is on the main road into Chester and is approximately a 10 min walk into the City centre. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Lovely power shower. Breakfast is cooked to order or there is a good choice of cereal, yoghurt, fruit etc for the more health conscious. I didn't eat in the evening but that was only because we had other plans. I would definitely stay here again.
We liked its location, the walk to Chester gives a good introduction to the city while your car can be left for free at the hotel. Good food also
The shower turned cold in the evening so don't shower late! The bed had a strange dip in the middle and the wife was non existent.
We asked for a quite room and got that.fantastic beakfast
Excellent breakfast with full menu on offer. Staff all very helpful and friendly. Good location as only 15 minute walk into town centre, no car parking problems as plenty of space.
We were in annexe, slightly disappointed not to be in the main hotel as rooms looked lovely with plenty of space & annexe cramped but functional. The shower was difficult to master as the power was failing.
The appearance was very appealing and the location was in. A lovely area. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were very good.
The shower was a bit temperamental and cramped for a very tall teenager.
good facilities, walking distance to city center, great for parking, super service, excellent choice for breakfast.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Room clean and breakfast excellent.
Restricted headroom in Room 16 could be a problem.
The staff are a credit, nice and comfy, clean and tidy,
Wifi was a bit hit and miss
Friendliness and helpfulness of staff. Easy walking distance of city centre. Good parking facilities.
Could not connect to wi fi in room.
Lovely quiet hotel within easy reach of the City Centre. Ample off road parking Nice clean rooms Helpful, friendly Staff Excellent breakfasts
Outside light I couldn't turn off.
Pleasant but ideally placed for Chester zoo which was the purpose of our stay.
A little dated.
clean, tidy, staff helpful, location good. Very satisfied will stay there next visit.
Friendly and efficient staff. Some nice pubs a short walk away.
On first day we were given a room on the top floor which meant lugging our cases up a narrow winding staircase.. The bedroom and bathroom had sloping ceilings which made it almost impossible to stand up in the bathroom. The power shaver socket did not work. The bedroom was compact and badly laid out with the sinks in the bedroom and difficult to reach power points. The sheet had two obvious stains and there was also a stain on one of the towels. This room did not appear on the hotel website. After we complained to the staff, they acted quickly to relocate us to a better room on the first floor which was a great improvement. Basically we would not recommend room 15 unless you are a backpacking pygmy.
Nothing to dislike except the bar prices, but resigned to paying them down the years. The pub opposite wasnt much cheaper. Just a minor moan, nothing's perfect.
The breakfast at the hotel was excellent.,staff were friendly and helpful.
The bar prices were a little bit extortionate.
Staff very helpfull.lovely and clean room. Comfy bed.fantastic weekend..
Booked with ease, was a great place to stay and all the staff were really helpful and attentive. Was worried about wifi after reading reviews on here but connection was strong and fast.
