the warm welcome and "" can do " attitude of the staff, they wanted to be the best. the warm comfortable room, and a breakfast that set us both up for the day.

Easy walk into city centre. Delicious breakfast. Very comfortable bed in room 6! Friendly young girls at breakfast.

I don't often even eat the biscuits in a hotel/b&b room when I make teas/coffees but I was surprised that they weren't provided at this room rate. Small bath towels are a bit mean too.

Excellent hospitality. Excellent breakfast.

Room size was small and not the one in the picture that showed against the price also had to wait ages for breakfast, I asked for hot water instead of tea or coffee and could hear the conversation that went on in the kitchen just bucks I asked for water

It was a pleasant, comfortable hotel with all that one needs for an enjoyable week-end away. The staff were brilliant(very friendly and helpful). The bed was very comfortable and the facilities were also excellent. The breakfast was very good too.

There was nothing to dislike.

Locations was ideal with only a short walk to the train station and shops. Staff very accomodating and friendly.

Bathroom was very small and only had hot water for about 30 mins on our overnight stay.

Tv bit outdated and poor quality reception, but not that important as not in room much, needs updating to flat screens with better arial though

Rooms were spacious and clean Breakfast was lovely, would definately stay there again, price was good for the quality of hotel, its better thsn 2star rating I thought.

More coffee and milk in the room maybe, best fault I can find im afraid.

Staff were spectacular and absolutely great value for money. Breakfast room and food were really nice and inviting.

Room was cold in top floor attic room Shower is dangerous to get in and out of. Not good if u were elderly Cold in room where breakfast served especially when chef smokes outside and leaves door wide open

We were in the courtyard and found the room was cold a night but it had been snowing earlier in the day, the radiator was working.

Nice relaxed atmosphere. Nice old hotel and furnishings.

Main building cold and room annex even colder. Receptionist/owner lefet the hotel so reception/main building unmanned at night.

The shower was good and there was plenty of hot water. The hotel was handy for town.

The tv didn't work, The room was freezing when we arrived and but when the heating did come on it was like a sauna, there was no means to regulate the temperature in the room. The bed was like sleeping on the floor, far too hard. Wouldn't mind so much but it was £70 a night!!
