The staff was friendly and close to the center
The bed room was old and the beds wornt the best for the price
The staff were lovely and the rooms very clean. Rooms were spacious.
General look of the rooms I saw was shabby but not chic. Asked for a better room- 1st one had a cracked basin and was generally run-down. 2nd (4 poster room) had no heat and no working extractor fan. In need of a refurb. Shame as it was chic in the 80's.
The staff were friendly, even charming. They catered well for our dietary needs. The room was comfortable and pleasantly furnished. The food and especially the continental breakfast was excellent.
The 'young lady' on reception was lovely. The rooms were pleasant and the shower was excellent. Considering it is so near the town, it was very quiet. Breakfast was excellent.
The floor boards were very creaky and so was the bed, albeit comfortable.
The hotel can be seen to be making improvements.
The bed was uncomfortable, very springy. Also on booking the stay it was advertised for a full breakfast and also leisure facilities which were closed and only a continual breakfast was included
Excellent location for central Manchester . Basically, you get what you pay for . . . Just don't expect luxury furnishings but perfectly adequate .
EVERYTHING! Wonderful value for money.
This hotel is very tired and old, the bathroom needed an update, there were marks and scratches on the floor and tub, and the price per night doesn't warrant the old squeaky beds and old smelly carpets and no wifi connection in any hotel in this day and age is disgusting!
location close to Railway station and Town centre. En-suite had a bath/shower.
nothing at all with the hotel
£50 on double bed on my own include a cereal, juice drink, bowl of fruit, jams, coffee & full english breakfast service to my room. This is a good value for last minute booking.
DeafGuard - a alert system to vibrating and flashing light to informing me if there is a fire alarm. The vibrating pad went off twice at 1 am and 2.15 am - due to a small technical fault!!
inexpensive yet OK
my first 2 choices of evening meal main were off!
Location and friendly staff
Had a big bathroom
Bed was uncomfortable. Room needs decorating.
staff were welcoming
quality of all the room features. Radiator that made so much noise, it prevented me from getting any sleep. Damaged floor of the bath, which cut my foot. I could go on and on
The staff are good to say that they are working with substandard product
Shower rubbish to hit,to cold ,no water through it Loo did not flush correctly Beds lumpy Would not stay again and would not recommend
Checking in staff were really helpful ..good location for the purpose of our stay.
Staff are very friendly
Heating noisy (when it actually worked) unusual odour on my corridor
Location was good for railway station and close to town centre Staff were friendly and helpful Room was good and comfortable Breakfast was nice and ample
Room was stuffy and no ventilation. Close road meant we couldn't open window at night due to traffic noise Otherwise no complaints and would recommend
Bed was comfy, staff very helpful, and good value for money
Cleaners were a bit noisy waking us up at 8 o'clock, when we had do not disturbed sign on door, also unfortunately there were road work outside and made the room a bit noisy
location is good close to city -free parking
walls very thin could hear talking in next room -£4.99 each to upgrade to full breakfast
Staff very helpful. Had an evening meal which was superb. Breakfast also very good.
Room was very hot
Really good position for town center. Not noisy during night.
Our rooms where really dated and needed decorating. My mum had a dog , carpet was thread bear in her room. Just needed a little tlc.
- Delious locally sourced breakfast / Frühstruck (vieles aus der Region) - Next to train station / town / Ideal Lage Tea / Coffee, Iron / Ironing board in room.
- VERY Loud at weekend until past 02:00 a.m. (Pub)/ Viel LÄRM am Wochenende - Room smelt damp and mouldy and could not open window & poor ventilation - Appalling service at breakfast, completely ignored, was not asked if I wanted tea / coffee / toast and had to ask, and waited a long time. - Electrical plugs keep tripping the fuse - Room 103 looked old, worn and tired
On arrival the hotel smelt of fish, the decor looks nothing like the website, the hotel is very tired and in need of refurbishment. Not what I was expecting
Continental Breakfast and restaurant food. Female member of staff on duty in the restaurant was very helpful and polite.
Room very noisy especially as the window was open and could not be shut. Toilet seat was disgusting. Bed could do with a new mattress. Paper peeling off the wall and room very tired.
