Wonderful hotel with exceptional service. Cannot wait until our next visit.
The food was amazing, the decor was beautiful and the staff very attentive, loved the valet parking
Price of afternoon tea was truelly eyewatering, lovely but massively overpriced
Service, food, management
Friendly and attentive staff. Not at all stuffy.
The greeting on arrival, the valet parking, the quick booking in at reception ,and being shown to our room. The friendly welcoming service, the room,food.....everything really, there was nothing we didn't like.
parking easy Staff excellent Location perfect
Include english breakfat in overall price
ideal location,beds very comfortable,
poor showers. Meal in Brasserie ok but service not very good considering it was not very busy.
room brilliant resteraunt even better staff to a person best we have ever had
price of drinks a bit over the top and nowhere to get a pint of lager
I like the big bed but every thing is good.
Their was no kettle in the room. It said coffee and tea facilities.
All round excellence. Very helpful staff exceptional food. Ideal location to walk around Chester.
Shower too close to the end of the bath for a big bloke.
We enjoyed everything about the hotel and the staff are fabulous
Can't think of anything.
We always stop here for a night when arriving in the UK for summer hols. Everything from the staff to the rooms to the food and service is spot on. All staff are excellent from the front desk to the concierge and restaurant staff. This is the best place to stay in chester. Worth every penny !
Absolutely nothing at all, wish we could stay longer!
room was lovely location is very convenient for shops, restaurants and so on staff polite
breakfast was quite nice - but expensive to have a cooked one which for an already expensive hotel does not seem quite right. check in and out was quite slow.
Wonderful weekend, from the moment we pulled up outside this beautiful hotel we we're treated so special. We expected to feel a bit out of our depth with this being a 5 star hotel but we we're never made to feel like that. Service in the brasserie was great, very attentive, nothing was too much trouble. Late night tea and coffee Saturday night in the bar was so relaxing after an evening out in chester town centre. Whole experience was fantastic and we felt like millionaires, can't wait to come back!!
The older established staff were as excellent as usual, as we've experienced during our previous stays.
The influx of new staff mainly Foreign in the Brassery were difficult to understand, and far below the standard one expects at the Grosvenor. Quality staff can be of any nationality, but I fear that the management in the Brassery did not lead by example and breakfast on Monday 28th was shambolic, and would be embarrassing even in a 2 star hotel.
Small rooms, air conditioning very poor, not value for money
Grosvenor is located in the city centre area close to the shops and other eating establishment .The staff are courteous and friendly and the service and food was excellent
No tea coffee facilities in the room
Everything is so easy, from parking your car when you arrive, to being located right in the heart of Chester Town Centre. A very relaxing stay and a lovely hotel.
The only downside is having to have nearly £400 pre authorise total taken off my debit card on arrival, which did affect my balance available on my account and which can take up to 10 days to be released - if you pay with a credit card the amount is put back within 48 hrs - I would have done this if I knew and if this was clearly stated! Our end bill was on top of this amount for a 1 night stay! Best to check this policy out when you check in! I have spoken to the hotel and they are rectifying this for me as I am not happy about this and it is a shame because we had such a lovely time! I did miss a tea/coffee tray in the suite also!
The location of the hotel was ideal. Staff were extremely helpful.
Absolutely superb hotel
