Just returned from a weekend away to celebrate my birthday. The hotel was in a fantastic location so never needed to take the car out of the car park. The rooms were very modern and comfortable. The shower broke during our stay and the service we received was fantastic. Reported the fault to reception on our way out for something to eat and it had been fixed by the time we returned 2 hours later. The executive lounge was very small and hot but it was nice to relax with a drink after a long day shopping/sight seeing. It is rather annoying when you have paid for the accomodation to then have to pay an extra £7.50 per day to park your car. I also booked an executive room with breakfast included to be told when I arraived that this was continental breakfast only and to upgrade to full english it would cost an extra £7.50 per person per day.

The staff were very friendly and helpful!! The food in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast was excellent. It was a perfect distance from the shopping centre of beautiful Chester. As a Priority Club member, I will certainly consider staying at the Crowne Plaza again when I make another similar trip to the area. The Hotel bar and restaurant seemed a little dark and dated:-(

Everything, nothing too much trouble for the staff excellent breakfast. Easy walking distant to the town 5 minutes tops. Cleanliness 10 out of 10. Parking could be a problem if there are no empty spaces on arrival.

The location - ony 2 minutes walk from city centre Breakfast - only executive rooms left with breakfast in the club lounge. Booking.com website stated bed & breakfast package - only after paying did the confirmation state continental breakfast only, very misleading! Would have cots and extra £15.00 for full breakfast. The breakfast was awful, very little available, dried cheese, no butter - not what you wouldexpect of a 4 star hotel.

On my way to Chester(Crown Plaza) for a conference on the Monday , we decided to stay at Coventry on the way up(From Kent) we booked B/B at the Premier Inn on the Saturday (£39.00 per night) also a night at the Premier Inn in Chester on the Sunday (£29.00 per night), I have to say the rooms and stay in the Premier Inns were far superior to those at Crown Plaza Chester (B/B £165.00 Per night) although the Crown Plaza had better facilities eg, Sauna, Swimming Pool, etc, I have also to add the prices in the Crown Plaza bar were very expensive.

We love the location, facilities and staff friendliness of this hotel. The air con didn't work (Room 205). The room was very hot and unable to open the windows sufficient to get a decent breeze to cool the room.

Good central location. The room stank of cigarette smoke and as a result I did not enjoy my stay and I would not stay there again.

We had a lovelly time at the crown plaza, the staff were more helpful about the area than the tourist information centre.my only down side was the pillows were not comfy and were quite thick, so we found it difficult to sleep, but location, staff, room size and facilities were great. My only complaint would be the pillows were so uncomforable, thick and quite firm,

The luxury of the whole place. 5 stars in all. The free executive lounge between 5pm and 8pm was a real bargain, enjoyed free wine etc with nibbles. The staff were very attentive and hard working.

The staff were excellent - very friendly, good-humoured and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they spent a lot of time chatting with us. The room was clean and spacious and inexpensive considering the facilities and location. The only issue I had was the fact that even though we were hotel residents, we had to pay £7.50 per car for parking in the hotel's own car-park - which does add up when there's more then one car.

Convenience to city centre; car parking availability but I do not see why I have to pay for car parking bearing in mind the cost paid for the weekend stay I also left something behind in my room and the housekeepers have promised to send it back to me Quality of the breakfast for this level of hotel was poor bar costs were very high

City centre location yet quiet.Double room clean, ample, with well equipped bathroom.Evening meal and buffet style hot breakfast - excellent selection and quality.Public areas spacious.Swimming pool/spa nice amenity. All staff encountered efficient, helpful and courteous. (Hotel and adjoining concrete development, incl. Public car park planning travesty in such close proximity to historic quarter.) Room temperature set and uncomfortably hot.Room tv antiquated with poor selection of channels.Gymn 'very compact'-equipment tired.Additional £7.50 charge for overnight parking disappointing considering £150 b&b for 'run of the mill' 4* hotel.

Location for the shops etc is great and the room was comfortable This is not 4 star quality really and the price is not cheap. Things like cleanliness of the sauna/steam room/changing rooms leaves a lot to be desired. I would expect better for the price and the menu for the restaurant , which we had to ask for separately. Wasn't great for the prices. The hotel is ok overall just we thought needed a refurb in quite a few areas.
