Very helpful staff.

Car parking - we got a parking ticket in the short stay car park after now being told all of the details about the parking costs.

The spa was very nice. The car park was very handy.

The sauna was broken. There was only one lift working as the other one was broken.

Nice hotel and great location for the races. The staff (magda, in particular) were very helpful and friendly. Like all hotels in this area, the inflate the price for race days.

Comfortable bed, quiet rooms, pool, spa. And great staff.

The underpass outside the front entrance. I doubt there's much can be done about it, but it's a cold, dull wind tunnel - rather unwelcoming.

The staff were absolutley fantastic, helped us with bookings, directions, nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is very clean, parking right outside the door, nice feel of luxury once inside. 2 minutes into town centre. Everybody smiled!!

Nothing to dislike.

The staff were outstandingly good - efficient and went our of their way to be helpful. Restaurant had an offer whereby two people could have a three course meal with a glass of wine for £30. A limited choice, but the quality was good.

Room/hotel too hot. Residents should not have to pay for parking.

Car parking charges at £7.5o per day... Felt it was a bit steep on top of the cost of the hotel.

Pleasant check in, smart decor, lovely breakfast.

Room far too hot, radiator off as soon as checked into room and still on day two room was 21 degrees. Too hot for sleeping, air conditioning provided but seems to knock itself off after a few hours

It was really central for restaurants,bars and shopping!!! No taxis needed.

hotel was very nice but pricey.great location and very clean. reception staff where excelent very helpfull. overall a most enjoyable stay and would use this hotel again.

car parking charges for guests are the same as none guests. There are 2 areas of the hotel we found to be very poor. One was the bar, the staff were not at all good with wrong drinks being delivered and having to wait too long in between for service.Much quicker to fetch your own drinks. The other is silks resteraunt,What a farce, the staff where useless and the food was pub grub at best,we ate there on saterday evening,there were only 3 couples in there,the couple next to us complained about there food while we were waiting for ours,a young girl returned from the kitchen and offered the chefs appolagies,then we received our food,2 steaks identically cooked,mine i have to say was good,however my wifes was inedable due to grisly sinue and being under cooked,yes we complained and the same young girl came over and appolagised for the chef,surley he was'nt so busy he could'nt come himself after all he did cook the food (OR DID HE) VERY VERY POOR SERVICE AND QUALITY OF FOOD,WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO EAT THERE

The reception staff were very friendly when we checked in, asking for the reason for our stay etc which was a romantic night away from the children-we were then shown to a twin room, told it was booking.com fault and no double rooms available. miraculously one was found when we demanded a refund. Also disappointed at charge for wi-fi-very out of date in 2013. overpriced at £135 for standard facility and basic bathroom.

Everyone was really helpful and the location is superb for seeing Chester

The Receptionist was lovely and very helpful.

I felt that the rooms were a bit small and slightly dated for an Executive Suite, I paid £165 and it appeared more like a standard double room. Very clean though and lovely staff.

Location was good. Staff are extremely helpful friendly and polite. Beautiful hotel inside. Excellent facilities.

I have nothing negative to say about the hotel.

Easy going. Very slick.everyone we asked for anything was very helpful. All staff spoke cheerfully to us when they saw us.

No working lift for some of our stay.

The overall stay was good, the staff friendly and helpful. The location good for the town centre and the decor in the public areas pleasing.

Room The tea and coffee were good but the spoons had not been washed when it was replenished. The matress had a mind of its own, leaving a gap between the wall and bed, obviously it had not been replaced after the linen change. Wi Fi Worked for a few hours then with the suggestion of reception cancelled it. Dining The dinner was good but expensive, at breakfast we were seated, the cutlery was present, but on our return from the buffet some of it had infact disappeared, we suspect the staff were replacing them at other tables.

Cost of a 1 night stay with out breakfast

There was a good variety of food at breakfast.

We came down to breakfast at 9.00 am. and some of the the hot food e.g. scrambled eggs - dry and rubbery; the black puddings were hard and crusty.

Breakfast was very good and staff very helpful

For £150 the room was very average ,no view ,not much space. Needed updating.

rooms were tired, chipped furniture. had to move rooms, noise from next room, in excutive rooms

Certainly value for money but still felt sense of luxury. Good location. Family friendly. I was very surprised to find out that children eat free! Definitely try again and recommend to friends.

I was not impressed by the restaurant food and services.
