Staff very welcoming The hotel in my opinion need some upgrading it seems tired and lacks the appearance I expected from a four star the floors are all very creaky the rooms are quite small and the hanging space for clothes needs addressing two ladies for two nites we struggled to hang everything up. Breakfast on saturday was not brilliant the sausage had a very chemical taste, ive stayed in many hotels and the breakfast selection was poor compared to most, cheap sliced bread, poor quality juice limited pastries, and could someone please tell the male waiting staff about their bo!!

It was a fantastic location and the staff there couldn't be more friendly and helpful When we arrived for dinner at the hotel there was a couple laughing hysterically as a waitress was trying to ask what was wrong with the food - we soon found out why. I ordered the avocado/bacon/blue cheese salad and my partner the chicken focaccia stack. Unfortunately we received a chicken bap that resembled a rustler burger and my salad was smoothered in tomato ketchup. Fair play to the waitress she was mortified and took it away (apparently we should have been told the chicken would come in a bap) and did everything she could to put it right. Apart from the interesting cooking the staff were faultless. The hotel is lovely - I'd just find somewhere else to eat!

A very nice modern hotel. Recently refurbished to a good standard which is clear to see from the interior of the hotel and the quality of the rooms. Comfortable beds at least queen size. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We didn't have an evening meal at the hotel but did have breakfast, which was excellent. A health club is attached and guests can use the gym, swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room free of charge. All in all a very pleasant, quiet stay.

The location of the Ramada was perfect, as it wasn't in the city centre of Chester but was close enough. We used the hotel restaurant on the evening which was very nice and reasonably priced. The hotel is advertised as having a spa which was the main reason why we chose this hotel, the spa consisted of a pool & jacuzzi (full of children), sauna & steam room, this is not my idea of a spa hotel. There was no access from the hotel into the spa, we had to walk through the car park & round the back on the hotel. The beds are extremely uncomfortable and it was 2 single beds pushed together. There was lots of noise on our corridor from 6.30am of children running up & down and the maid knocked on our door at 9am to clean when we was due to depart at 12noon. The hotel is ideal for a family, wanting a base to sleep if going to see all the local tourist attractions.

The staff were really excellent. Very welcoming & helpful & friendly. The location is good, close to the canal & you can walk along the tow path into the centre of Chester. The food in the restuarant was nice & the kids meal very good value. Overall a very good, child friendly hotel to stay in.

Decor is now tired. Breakfast was poor compared to other hotels we have stayed at. Our room was close to the by-pass so one of us had very little sleep because of the noise.

It was reasonably convenient for Chester City and visits to country pubs.It also had a pool. The bedrooms were small with very little cupboard space. Coats and trousers were hung on a wall fitting. The bathroom was small and the shower was an attachment over a standard bath - both uncomfortable to have a shower and not particularly safe. The bedroom and the hotel public areas looked tired and in need of refurbishment.

We were not impressed by this hotel at all. On our arrival, the room was very cold as the heating was off. It warmed up slightly during the evening but then the heating went of all night and we were absolutely freezing. The room was not particularly clean and in our opinion the whole hotel needed up grading as it smelt frousy! We have stayed at much better 4 star hotels with yourselves in the past and will not be staying at this hotel again. From Mrs. Lynda Majid ps can't answer the review question as I hadn't read them !! Didn't think it should be a 4 star hotel

Pool okay, clean and cleaners good service. Room tiny for a family- this needs to be clearer as a travelodge room bigger. My 2 small boys falling over each other and made sleep impossible at night, due to my baby boy aware we all very close at night. Evening meal was at 630pm. it took over 2 hours to get food. Very frustrating with two young children. by the end my baby boy got to bed and was sick partly because of the food being served late. the reason possibly for food taking so long was because the hotel had a private function(late Christmas party) for their own staff. Had to go home early to try get sleep. All in all not ideal for a young family Manager was meant to ring me to discuss, but no phone call

Being made very welcome as we checked in as the front desk was very helpful, helped in booking a table at a resturant and booking a taxi for my wife and myself. The room was very welcoming and cosy. Really enjoyed our stay would recommend to friends and will come back in future Would of liked two pillows instead of the one, just being picky on that as everything was good

Nice clean bathroom, friendly and helpful staff. Free parking and a good location. Thin walls, drunk people running down the corridors woke us up. The floorboards in the corridors itself are bad enough, loud and creaky. Hairdryer stopped working after a minute of using it, luckily there was a spare in the room.
