Friendly staff, ample parking

Rundown hotel, has seen better days, small and uncomfortable rooms, not value for money.

We were right by the entrance and it was very noisy all night

The pool and facilities were great and the bed was very comfy

The bar prices were far to expensive hence the bar was always empty,and a little bit tight with the tea and coffees And the need of a mirror on the dressing table would be o/k and more storage areas ie drawers for clothing

Leisure club was excellent.

Room walls were thin, lots of noise in corridors and people knocking on doors after 11pm.

Evening meal and breakfast were lovely

The room was unbearably hot without the heating on and the windows open. It wasn't even warm outside. The pool was also too warm. Couldn't sleep because of the heat and we had to have a noisy fan on all night.

We got the room half price. The breeakfast was good.

The size of the room was too small for a couple - better ofr single occupancy. The bathroom was very small and the furniture dated. The bed was ok but have slept in better at Premier Inns. The troom (106) needed net curtnains as it was over looked and all teh others had them for prvivacy.

A little bit further from centre of Chester than I thought. You can walk but it takes about half hour.

We chose the hotel for it's location near to Chester and it's leisure facilities. However the steam room was out of order whilst we were there which was disappointing. Also some of the decor was looking tired.

Location for all attractions couldn't have been better positioned. Food both in evening and breakfast lovely. Staff very helpful especially the staff who brought our meal in the evening and at breakfast. Facilities really good.

Bathroom in our room tired floor tiles coming up and with my elderly mum not ideal, under the sink and bath wood coming off. Lack of information on local attractions both in room and hotel. Also staff on reception don't know how to get there when asked were send in wrong direction. Put u up bed tatty.

Leisure facilities very good, nice warm swimming pool and everything working,sauna, steam and jaccuzi. Very helpful staff, comfortable beds, nice free car park and then near to park and ride into chester so need to pay parking charges. Will be back soon.

There was nothing to dislike, the only problem we had was we couldnt get back to hotel from leisure centre has key card didnt work but this was soon put right by helpful staff.

Rooms for comfortable and clean and the staff were very helpful. Food in the restaurant was of good value. Three courses for £22.

I Booked a one night's family stay on 31 March 2013. The hotel is comfortable to stay but the decor certainly needs updating and whilst the Swimming Pool was warm and pleasant to swim, the overall look of the Pool area could do with some thorough cleaning of the tiles etc. The hand rails on the steps within the pool were covered in dry cement. The Shower was not working therefore you could not have a shower before you got into the pool. The outside of the Hotel does not look very welcoming, but once inside it is fairly comfortable for a 1 or 2 night stay. The Bar area is pleasant and the restaurant is fine as was the food. The things that need improving are more cosmetic than anything else. I certainly would not class this hotel as a four-star. At most it should be rated as a 3-Star. On the first night whilst in the bar area my 8 year old daughter wanted to go to the toilet, my wife took her only to be welcomed in the toilet of an overwhelming smell of vomit, we did tell the bar staff that someone had obviously been ill, but regular checks of the toilets could help as the men's were not very clean either. If staying in Chester I don't think I would choose this hotel again but overall it was ok for one night. The Bedrooms were clean and tidy and the Bed was very comfortable.

The room was very clean, very comfortable bed, very cosy, very nice and quiet. Really enjoyed our stay.
