Just 100 yards from Chester Train Station, the Westminster has free Wi-Fi and a contemporary bar and restaurant. A grand wood staircase and a stained glass window are features of the Best Western.
Score from 617 reviews Good
Opposite Chester Station, the Premier Queen first opened in 1860, and offers grand Victorian style and free Wi-Fi. The center of the city is nearby.
Score from 595 reviews Excellent
With a modern fitness center and stylish Michael Caines restaurant, the Abode Chester has a 5th-floor champagne bar with views out over historic Chester. The Chester Racetrack is just a few feet away....
Score from 657 reviews Excellent
The Mill Hotel and Spa is next to the Shropshire Union Canal, a 5 minute walk from Chester Station. It offers 5 eateries, free parking and a health club with a pool.
Score from 2119 reviews Very good
Poor service, run out of ordered dishes.
Friendly staff. Next door to Park and Ride with a bus every 10 mins to town. Nice pool and spa area but cluttered with notices. Good breakfast.
Creaking Floorboards in the room and the corridors. Thin walls. Some scruffy chairs in the lounge and bar areas.
The staff were excellent and did their best. Not their fault place needs a good make over. Wifi reception was excellent with breakfast very good too.
This hotel is in urgent need of redecoration, as the whole place looked tired and grubby. First room we were given stank with the second room not much with damaged furniture. No mattress lining with stains on the carpet. definitely not worth £127 per night.
Food was of a very high standard, and all the staff had tried the food. So could advise you about it.
The entertainment/ information system in the room is very old and outdated.
We thoroughly enjoyed breakfast in a nice dining setting and the leisure facilities with helpful staff
Would suggest decoration in the near future
The first room we were checked into was awful. Very very small, very dated and felt like a cheap motel room. After speaking to reception we were upgraded which was a much better room.
staff in restaurant were great friendly and cleaner very helpful
Receptionist was training a new girl looked me up and down and said we have to check that they are legal immigrants but didnt say anything to the 2 couples before hand. She was very course and rude not value for money and pictures were not off the room we ended up in was more like a down down motel wasnt even offered the use of the pool ect :(
Lovely Room - spacious and quiet Good spa Facilities Lovely breakfasts - staff very happy to cook poached eggs to order for example. Teresa excellent Plenty of Parking on site Nice grounds
Bathroom a little cramped. Would have liked a shower cubicle Wish bed wasn't two singles pushed together :(
Very smal room with no accoustic isolation. Horrible bed.
Well located. Good Spa facilities, Nice bar. Friendly staff.
The first room we were offered ( classic double) was below what I expected of a 4 star hotel. however they upgraded us to a studio Double which was acceptable and more like what I envisaged of a classic double. I also expected breakfast which was also extra.
Location was what we need, within easy travelling distance to the zoo and aquarium. Great leisure facilities and an excellent breakfast
The room was unfortunately extremely hot which made it uncomfortable
Hotel was fantastic
Food was expensive, we went to a lovely pub down the road called the Cheshire Cat well with a visit
Bar, nice and clean everywhere, nice staff and comfy big beds!
Corridors smelt a bit foisty!
We found it rather strange that a newish build hotel would not have a lift to the 1st floor where our room was located. When checking in we weren't offered help with getting suitcase upstairs, but to be fair hotel staff we met on the way up did offer to help.
Swimming pool and restaurant .
rooms were adequate and clean. good size bed! Breakfast was self service so good if you have a busy day ahead, tea & coffee were served by staff very quickly.
Location and the harvester a few minutes walk away.
When checking in we were given a key card to what we thought was our room. However when we entered the room it was apparent it was already occupied, extreamly emmbaressing for both parties, when returning to the reception to tell them of their mistake, we were greated by a young gentleman who could not be bothered to talk to us but instead muttered he would get a receptionist and shuffled away -better customer service available from the residants at Chester zoo perhaps — maybe that's where they were trained? We were handed two tokens for free drinks by the receptionist along with a key card. Arrived at the room— dusty and dillapidated, ample — but I expected more for the price.
Noisy boiler outside my window Lack of sleep Meat, meat and more meat Poor value for money overall Seemed to be some lack of staff motivation
More comfortable than premier inn with more help and attention from staff. As a vegetarian plenty to choose from breakfast menu without special requests. Close to Chester for easy access.
No extra pillow. Not enough tea/coffee sachets.Bedside lights not near enough to bed so partner gets disturbed. Exceptionally high bar prices.
Dinner in restaurant, Breakfast. Comfort of premium room
Very Minor Niggle, but did not receive newspaper on 1 day. Room was extremely hot during evening, mitigated by use of air conditioning.
friendly & helpful staff / facilities & cleanliness
very little at all
Staff were friendly and helpful Location is good walk along canal to Chester centre or very close to Park & Ride / local bus service
Seemed to be understaffed - the Receptionist sorted out Housekeeping query, concierge task etc. Breakfast staff were overwhelmed. Cleanliness was just OK as long as you can turn a blind eye ! Wasn't cheap so needs to keep up standards
Staff were friendly, location was great for exploring the area.
The whole hotel, pool and changing rooms could really do with redecorating it is looking a bit shabby and tired
We liked the hotel.which was very efficiently run,and a credit to the management. The staff were very friendly, and always ready to help, and very professional. The facilities were first class.
There was nothing to report, everything was excellent.
