Chester Residence  

I'd loved apartment number 2! Staff very friendly and helpful. Croissants - delicious!

Size was fantastic, decor was splendid. Very well appointed and clean. The staff were extremely courteous and helpful.

Could have done with air-conditioning or at least a fan for those odd hot days. Size of the bedroom is a wee bit tiny relative to the rest of the apartment.

*Staff were extremely helpful * the room was enormous and very nicely appointed (2/9 Chester street) with great aspect over gardens * fruit bowl for breakfast was very nice * nespresso in the rooms was very helpful * location was great * bed was very comfortable * good to have a bath

*There was not top sheet on the bed and it took several days for them to respond to my request -working through a number of variations (e.g. D1 no response (to request); D2 empty doona cover to be used as top sheet, D3 removal of doona and replacement with waffle blanket and empty doona cover - then I had a tizzy and top sheet arrived) *Housekeeping tidied my room despite Do Not Disturb sign and removed my empty bedside water bottle and tray I was still using *Internet didn't function for two days - local technical problem - the hotel responded but was a bit slow getting onto it definitively *There were dirty patches velvet bed throw which house-keeping kept turning to other side (instead of removing/washing) * staff unable to control the heating (to turn it down) so I resorted to opening the windows

This was a beautiful home away from home. It was big, airy with huge windows and rooms. They also delivered our yummy breakfast to our room. Very good location.

Our apartment build idling was around the block from the main reception.

Sense of arrival, unique qualities, spacious accommodations, residence like, very friendly staff.

Internet connection was poor, TV was slow to operate, mattress needs changing in Apt 1 at 9 Chester Street bldg. Air Con was not functional, room on the street side is noisy due to windows having to be open, some minor handyman type issues.

The entire experience. Every element from design to ambience to hospitality contributed towards the experience.

Spacious rooms, excellent mattress, great bedding, furnished kitchen minus stove. 2 large screen TV's, free Wi-Fi, good location

Our only complaint was there was no hot water....the temperature of the water was luke warm. That fact alone would keep us from a return visit. Hot water is a basic necessity.

The staff was terrific and very helpful with bookings for restaurants and other food services. The apt was ideal for our family of four and comfortable. It was a nice touch that they had all the baby things we needed such as highchair and toys.

We were disappointed that their was no cooked food available for breakfast but the continental. Real fast was very nice. We honestly enjoyed everything about Chester Residences.

The staff were absolutely superb. Could not fault a thing. The rooms were outstanding. I doubt I will ever stay in a hotel to match this.

Flawless, a wonderful experience!! Stayed in the 2 bedroom at Rothesay Place and it was fabulous!

Nothing really ,though perhaps 25 pounds a day to park a car that wasn,t used was a bit steep ( 8 pounds a day in central Glasgow)....also to charge extra for a 5th person when the apartment easily accomodated the 5 of us was unfortunate.

Luxuriously decorated, very modern and spotlessly clean. All mod cons, service and convenience of a five-star hotel.

It was an excellent experience, I would recommend the apartments housing hygiene is very excellent and very excellent team.

Really, everything. Staff were excellent, our flat was exceptional and provided far more than we needed. The most relaxing hotel experience i've EVER had and the most reassuring as well. The place was CLEAN.

Very spacious apartment with well equipped kitchen and 3 bathrooms. Staff were excellent and organised tours as well as assisting with emailing and witnessing business documents.

Staff were outstandingly and uniformly helpful. They were instantly responsive and very friendly. We had a great stay. Thanks.

Slightly off centre

We enjoyed having absolute privacy, but at the same time, having wonderful service only a phone call away. It was convenient to be able to use the lounge and have a glass of champaagne whilst we waited for a taxi. And the wonderful, friendly staff were so helpful and knowledgeble, even when we had a problem with the microwave (they heated our milk straight away in their facilities whilst trying to fix the microwave - nice touch).

The home cinema was very complicated to operate (though great when we talked through how to get the DVD playing, which wasn't obvious!).

What a Delight, Our stay at the Chester Residence couldn’t have been better. From the time we exited the Taxi at the front door until the morning we departed it was fantastic. We were met by not one but four individuals who nearly fell over themselves to help us get established. Our bags were whisked away as we were checking in. The ladies at the desk made the process a breeze and we were on our way to the apartment. The lady who accompanied us was delightful and our tour of the Apartment was very helpful. The apartment itself was huge, with two baths both with showers, a living room bigger than most hotel rooms and a king size bed that was a pleasure to climb into after a busy day on the town. The kitchen with the mini fridge, microwave, sink and a full complement of utensils and dishes was a super touch. Yes it had its minor foibles’ such a creaky floor by the bathroom but even that made us feel at home. All this and a price that couldn’t be beat anywhere in Edinburgh made this the perfect choice for a short stay. I highly recommend it.

Our stay was outstanding. Far better than our expectations having heard so much about the reputation of the hotel. We will be returning.

What is there not to like.

We stayed in the apartment with the jacuzzi and cinema and would have to say the chester residence is by far the best place we have stayed. Pure luxury.

The staff were fabuolous, the accomodation spacious and well-equipped and the neighbourhood quiet, but within walking distance of everything. The room we were orignally booked into was not avaialable our first night and the staff contacted us in advance and made suberb alternate arrangements within the residence. All in all, very impressive.

Apartments are fantastic and the staff wonderfully friendly. Highly recommended.

There is nothing to dislike.

Comfort of home. Did not feel like we were out of town.
