These stunning, stylish suites are in the center of Edinburgh, half a mile from the shops of Princes Street. Each suite boasts a large-screen TV with DVD selection, an iPod dock, and luxurious bathrobes. Each large, individually designed suite features an excellent built-in sound system, DVD player, and a PSP portable game system. Guests can relax among chic decor, with comfortable sofas and sleek, wooden coffee tables. Each fully equipped kitchen offers a built-in oven with stove, a microwave, and a fridge for self-catering. Kitchens also include dishwashers and a full range of silverware, plates, and kitchen utensils. The luxury bathrooms have slippers, rain showers and Molton Brown toiletries. Chester Residence consists of 4 Georgian town houses in the West End of Edinburgh. The art galleries, museums, shops, cafes and restaurants are a short walk away. Stunningly stylish apartment with luxury and quality evident throughout. Without exception the staff were warm friendly courteous and attentive without being overbearing. We were there celebrating a wedding anniversary which was made all the more memorable by the quality of service and thoughtfulness from arrival to departure. Each time we entered the door into reception the fragrant greeting of a luxury perfumed candle set the tone and the world could be left behind. The Residence offers the option of a "romance package" which can be booked directly in advance - if you wish to demonstrate your affection to a special person make this a surprise and they will be enchanted. Stunning service. - superb staff - luxurious living

The apartment was excellent very clean and very modern. The Chester Residence was one of the best apartments I have ever stayed in better than most 5 star hotels and I have stayed in quite a lot of them. Excellent value for money - staff were very friendly and polite. We will recommend it to all our friends and family.

a hotel experience with more space than imaginable. Superb. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff- friendly, helpful and welcoming. Parking is not great and there is no lift if you arrive with lots of heavy bags...like we did.

The whole experience was amazing. The apartment was simply stunning, so beautifully decorated and excellently appointed. Will definitely be back next time in Edinburgh and have in fact already recommended to at least 5 other couples. Only wish we had been there longer!!

The apartments at their Rothesay Place townhouses were totally 5* luxury. Couldn't have booked a better place to stay for our first year anniversary. Friendly staff. Highly recommended. Lighting in the rooms were a little on the dark side – that's all I could possibly fault!

The Chester Residence exceeded our expectations. It had the benefits of renting an entire apartment with all the amenities/luxuries/service of a 5-star hotel. We have rented apartments many times and it always is a bit "tricky" checking in, checking out or contacting the management company if you had a question. This was not the case at the Chester Residence. Our cab was immediately greeted, check in was just like a hotel and people were available 24/7 in the lobby to help with anything--- even a movie and popcorn for the room! Spectacular concept!

I almost dont even want to review this hotel - but thats just because i want to keep the place to myself. After a dissapointing stay at a world famous hotel in the same city the weekend before, my wife and I were blown away by this find. We have a little boy (2 years old) and the great size of the apartment we stayed in was just perfect for him to have some freedom. The staff were second to none in my opinion, from the moment i was greeted at the front door to the moment my car was delivered back to me, i wish all hotels in all locations could be run like this place.

Very quiet location, not far from Princes Street and Haymarket Station. Spacious and clean apartment, with exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Will definitely be staying there for all future Edinburgh trips. Also a very nice touch to be greeted by a great-looking man in a kilt.

I like the space it gave us while we were staying but also that we could all be together when it suited, As it was my husbands 50th we wanted somewhere we could be together for sharing out gifts and spending time together but also space when we needed it.

Layout, comfort, staff, quiet, calm, good food delivered to room. You have recently received a booking for the 2 bed apartment from a recommendation by us. Gimmicks like built-in surround sound, flimsy bed lights and long stem toilet roll holders rarely work, and they didn'T. We like to read so the absence of enough reading light was a problem.The mood lighting in the bedroom could have been better achieved with dimmers rather than the long drop lights fitted with deep brown shades - stylish but useless. Not having a walk-in shower was a pity. The soap holder in the bath won't last long as it's the only thing to grab when getting in and out. We couldn't get radio in bedroom so, given we like 'Today' on Radio 4 and also Classic and Jazz fm when we wake and go to sleep, that was unfortunate. Pillows too soft and by time we saw note about harder ones we were in bed. Better to have one of each.
