Staff were friendly and couldn't do enough for you. I would stay there again I loved it so much.

It was an excellent experience, I would recommend the apartments housing hygiene is very excellent and very excellent team.

Really, everything. Staff were excellent, our flat was exceptional and provided far more than we needed. The most relaxing hotel experience i've EVER had and the most reassuring as well. The place was CLEAN.

Very spacious apartment with well equipped kitchen and 3 bathrooms. Staff were excellent and organised tours as well as assisting with emailing and witnessing business documents.

Staff were outstandingly and uniformly helpful. They were instantly responsive and very friendly. We had a great stay. Thanks.

Slightly off centre

We enjoyed having absolute privacy, but at the same time, having wonderful service only a phone call away. It was convenient to be able to use the lounge and have a glass of champaagne whilst we waited for a taxi. And the wonderful, friendly staff were so helpful and knowledgeble, even when we had a problem with the microwave (they heated our milk straight away in their facilities whilst trying to fix the microwave - nice touch).

The home cinema was very complicated to operate (though great when we talked through how to get the DVD playing, which wasn't obvious!).

What a Delight, Our stay at the Chester Residence couldn’t have been better. From the time we exited the Taxi at the front door until the morning we departed it was fantastic. We were met by not one but four individuals who nearly fell over themselves to help us get established. Our bags were whisked away as we were checking in. The ladies at the desk made the process a breeze and we were on our way to the apartment. The lady who accompanied us was delightful and our tour of the Apartment was very helpful. The apartment itself was huge, with two baths both with showers, a living room bigger than most hotel rooms and a king size bed that was a pleasure to climb into after a busy day on the town. The kitchen with the mini fridge, microwave, sink and a full complement of utensils and dishes was a super touch. Yes it had its minor foibles’ such a creaky floor by the bathroom but even that made us feel at home. All this and a price that couldn’t be beat anywhere in Edinburgh made this the perfect choice for a short stay. I highly recommend it.

Our stay was outstanding. Far better than our expectations having heard so much about the reputation of the hotel. We will be returning.

What is there not to like.

We stayed in the apartment with the jacuzzi and cinema and would have to say the chester residence is by far the best place we have stayed. Pure luxury.

The staff were fabuolous, the accomodation spacious and well-equipped and the neighbourhood quiet, but within walking distance of everything. The room we were orignally booked into was not avaialable our first night and the staff contacted us in advance and made suberb alternate arrangements within the residence. All in all, very impressive.

Apartments are fantastic and the staff wonderfully friendly. Highly recommended.

Comfort of home. Did not feel like we were out of town.

Superb apartment with very spacious sitting room and all very well equipped. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and went 'the extra mile'. Breakfast served in our room was perfect.

Space, comfort, friendliness of the staff, very helpful staff.

This was our second stay at the hotel and the first time we had beautiful bathrooms. This time, it was a very small "in suite" bath in master bedroom, small even for one person.

the apartment was on the 2nd floor which wasn't ideal for my 85 year old mother

Everything. The staff even did my grocery shopping and left a gorgeous cupcake and card for our daughter on her 5th birthday.

Pricey, but worth every penny :)

This place can not be topped - there is a reason why it won Scottish Hotel of the Year. Shear luxury - every convenience you could possibly need, top quality furnishings and accessories, fully equipped kitchens, beautiful towels and products in the bathrooms. And the service is superlative. I stayed here before and I will keep coming back as long as I can afford it!

Chester residence best feature is the staff. Very friendly, welcoming and attentive. The apartments are well decorated and spottless. I wouldn't stay anywhere else if going to Edinburgh.

We stayed in room 8/5 which is near to the cleaners cupboard. We could hear the door shutting and banging. However this is a very minor thing

Outstanding service and value for money. Enormous rooms and bathrooms, central but quiet location.

Loved the apartment layout

Some of the gadgets were a bit too high tech to use easily. But that probably says more about us and our technical skills

The apartment we stayed in was huge & had high quality fixtures & fittings.

Wished we could have stayed longer.
