Very good,

“ The food was excellent, especially the evening dinner and breakfast. You obviously have a very talented chef! Also, the Portuguese waiter was very helpful and kind to my 9 year old son (he is a big asset to the hotel)! Very child friendly too!! ”

It was a nice little room. Only a few minutes away from Old Trafford. Located in a nice quiet street. WI-FI was free and worked really well plus the staff were nice. The bed was kind of uncomfortable as the mattress was rock solid to sleep on. The bed sheets kept coming whenever you were trying to get comfortable on the bed. Also you could hear footsteps from the ceiling and also outside your door.

I really liked the hotel very much. Much more than what I had expected. Very Close to the Manchester United fc. I specially booked a room in this Hotel because it was close-by to the Manchester United Stadium. Old Trafford Cricket Stadium is also very close-by. About the rooms, it's very nice. Although the floor is wooden. Makes noise while walking. But a very good hotel. Loved my stay.

Excellent value for money if you try and leave it to the last minute to book. Staff - are very friendly and make you feel welcome - even the Security Guard that looks after the Car park on match days - hes got a great sense of humour. Room clean creaky floor boards everywhere

The evening receptionist (older lady) was unpleasant unfriendly sarcastic and in the wrong job ! No people skills or manners, very disappointing welcome enough to put you off booking restaurant and breakfast facilities there we opted for outside food however the morning receptionist (younger lady) was smiling and polite which was the very least we expect when booking into a hotel ! One receptionist was rude (older lady)

Chester's Hotel is ideal location wise for Old Trafford and the Trafford Centre which is why we chose it. The staff are lovely and very helpful, just ask for info regarding anything. The room was fine, everything you need including, iron and board, fan, tea and coffee making facilities. The breakfast was lovely, plenty of choice and served by a very happy, chatty gentleman who made us feel very welcome. The creaking floorboards are just awful and woke us several times during the night, so loud it seems like there is someone else in the room with you. Chester's please get those carpets up and deal with the problem!, it's such a shame as this is the only thing that is letting down an otherwise great hotel.

I like the unique location, that is the hotel is so near the Manchester United Old Trafford Stadium. Good for shopping in the centre or watching football matches. I like the traditional decorations in the hotel lobby/restaurant. Upon late check in, the lady in charge upgraded our room. We got a spacious twin room and the furniture was very British and noble. Receptionists are all brilliant and helpful. There is a very comfortable conference room fit for VIP meetings. And sometimes it provides budget rate. I like the full English breafast, which costs£7.5 per person. Restaurant was closed on Sunday and checking in late evening would be difficult if you are not familiar with the location of hotel entrance via the back of Chester Street/Road. A big luminous sign might help indicating rear route to hotel. Everything inside the hotel is fine.

The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Despite the cons, this hotel was good value for money. The room was a little cold and I couldn't see a radiator or heater in the bedroom. The floors were very creaky in places, both in the room I stayed in and the room above.
