Comfortabele ruimere kamer met een zeer goed bed. Rustig gelegen. Privaat parking. Vezorgd ontbijt met verse fruitsalade. Vlotte en vriendelijke bediening.

When we arrived we where greeted by Heather and offered tea, coffee and a very nice piece of cake which is a very nice touch The guest house was excellent breakfast was enough to keep you going all day. Had a lovely stay Thanks

Good food, great welcome, very comfortable room, great tip on using the MacDonald hotel for the gym.

Only thing I didn't like was the sign stuck up in the room which felt quite authoritative. I thought it was enough to have the "do's and don't's" in the black folder.

Heather was a lovely women who made me and my fiance very welcome. The guest room was very clean and well presented and we had everything we needed and the breakfast was to die for. Heather always made sure we had everything we wanted or needed during our stay. The location of Chestnuts was very good because it was a 15 minute walk to the shops and 20 minutes to the nearest lake. Me and my fiance will be going back there very soon... Thanks again Heather for a lovely weekend and for looking after us.

The wifi kept going off but i think it was down to a signal issue instead of a fault. I didn't report this because we weren't in the house long enough really to be effected by it.

The comfort of the property and specifically our room, its convenience for Widermere Centre and Bowness, ease of parking on site, the and attentiveness of Heather and Nigel the owners, the extremely nice breakfast that they provide

The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough to make our stay as comfortable as possible, breakfast was exceptional quality and there was a wide range of choices. We were really made to feel welcome right from stepping through the door till the point we left

This was our first visit to the Lake District and Chestnuts certainly did not disappoint.The proprietors Heather and Nigel went out of their to be helpful and customer focused with hospitality very high on their agenda.The rooms were clean and comfortable and the breakfasts were exceptional.

We have stayed at the Chestnuts before and it was as before decorated to a high standard. Food was excellent. Nigel and Heather are very friendly. We couldn't fault it at all......

We loved this b&b! We booked this based on excellent reviews on trip advisor and booking.com. Ideally located between windermere and bownes we had room 4. S. we were able to walk to both in around ten minites. Room was lovely,

I liked the design and structure of the House. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The dinning room was large and interesting. The house was well situated within walking distance of the Lake and the railway station. It was also in a quiet street.

Very nice guest house, close to Windermere and Bowness, quiet location, excellent breakfast and freedom to come and go as you pleased. Very comfy bed and lovely bed linen. Owners helpful and friendly. Would recommend a visit.

Everything was perfect, couldn't fault this place. We couldn't get Internet access when we first arrived but our host sorted this out as soon as we spoke to him. The house is beautiful & our room was lovely. Hosts very charming. Breakfast excellent & they serve very good coffee - a rare commodity in England! Would recommend this place to anyone.

Wonderful Guest House, beautiful room with good clean linen which was replaced daily. Owners were very friendly & were on hand to supply details of local attractions when asked. Breakfast was excellent with a choice of fruit, cereals & a cooked breakfast, if you wanted all of them then that was fine & we took the advantage. Location is half way between Windamere & Bowness & easy walking distance to both (10 mins). Very enjoyable stay & we will be visiting for longer next time.

It was clean and comfortable. We liked ordering our breakfast the evening before and the choice. It was convenient for sight seeing without a car.
