The warm cosey atmosphere greeted you along with friendly and helpfull staff. The hotel is quirky but very nice at the same time. The log cabin was warm and cosey and the furnishings and decor were modern and in keeping with the style of the place. The restaurant and spa facilities were all brilliant ,we couldnt fault our stay there at all.

Third time we have visited this hotel and have thoroughly enjoyed each stay. This was the first time we had the spa experience added to our stay and this was a good addition as it added to the whole relaxing experience of the break for us. Excellent value for the cost. Hope to visit again in May 2012 for our anniversary! Our bed was only a double (would prefer kingsize) and was not particularly comfortable but did not spoil the enjoyment of our break.

They accept Dogs at the hotel for a charge of £10. The location is lovely and the Lake and the Ducks beautiful. The Dog friendly rooms are rather tired and could do with a refurb especially the bathrooms. Staff were friendly but inexperienced - thrown in at the deep end I would say. We ate in the bar and the food was ok!

Breakfast was excellent quality Very close & convenient for Leeds Bradford airport Tired looking rooms and bathrooms. Wifi - Internet connection was intermittent. Had to leave hotel to go to the airport to do my work. No phone service in room. Had to sit in the car to make an important call. Arrived at 10pm on the evening - no hot food on offer

I frequently stay at hotels for business. I thought hotels like this had gone out of business a long time ago. Take them off your books as soon as possible. The final insult was a £2.50 charge for paying by card!

We stayed in the Wharfedale suite, and was very impressed by the size and comfort. We had full intentions of having a meal, either at a local restaurant or the hotel's own. But as we were so comfortable, we decided to have room service..... Loved it! The only fault I can make, is that the bathroom, in my opinion, needs an upgrade. For an otherwise quality suite, it is rather poor.

The location by the Leeds airport is very convenient. The room was small but clean and comfortable. We had to leave at 4:45am and they had our bill ready to go with no fuss. The rooms are generally quiet, so long as there isn't a wedding on! The bar menu is a bit limited and wine is rather overpriced but that is minor.

The wood design is unique. The hotel feels friendly. The plates could have been warmed to keep the food hot - although it was a wedding reception with about 150 people.

Everything about the room was small. Small bed, small en-suite facilities, no whereto store anything. It was extremely cramped!

Lovely grounds and location, reception and central areas were very cosy and nicely decorated. Food was excellent and staff friendly. Only downside was the room was a not dated. Bathroom like something from the 80s. Shower head strapped on with black wire and shower door leaked. No double glazing in room and room was either freezing or boiling if you used the heating. Not the best value for the price paid.

It was very handy for leeds airport and not too far from the city but you got the added bonus of being in the countryside. Shame it was foggy ! We also enjoyed the spa facilities hot tub was excellent. We had been left a bottle of champagen in our room ordered as a surprise but it had not been left in a bucket to chill but apart from that everything was very good for what we wanted!

A good and peaceful environment to stay in. The bar was spilling into the corridor en route to guest rooms. Noisy drunks lounging in the way are unsettling for children.

Unbelievably friendly Yorkshire folk! Such oh so friendly staff in the hotel - even the maintenance chap smiled & said good morning before i'd spoken. Very clean overall. Hot outdoor hot tub. Very hot sauna - fab. Quiet breakfast room - lovely, lovely fruit salad. Plenty of fresh orange juice and large glasses - great as I don't drink hot drinks. Lodge rooms very cosy feeling set amongst the trees. Fab place to relax. Main hotel very warmly furnished. Will go back definitely. Just three general observations: Small pool but 1.45m deep end meant you could exercise rather than swim. No spa showers one day and cold showers the next. Rather cool steam room. Restaurant floor not very clean; crumbs from evening meals? Terrible sound insulation between lodge bedrooms - woken by neighbours twice in the night!

Nice gym and rooms, very nice location in the woods but only 20 min from leeds center. Room was a bit musty smelling, couldn't leave window open during the night as ground floor and sliding doors no window

Quiet location out of the city. 11Am checkout. Generous cancellation terms. Comfortable room. Corridors were overheated - wasting energy and causing room to be warm also.

Lovely setting The price of the breakfast. If I was not on a bed and breakfast basis I would be highly offended and annoyed to pay £17-95 for the breakfast which was provided
