Hotel was set in beautiful surroundings, the only downside was the slow journey into Bristol city centre in the morning. |

Very pleasant and attractive grounds which promise great potential for your stay. The price was low but I soon understood why. Limited service available after 1600. Only a skeleton staff available to support the guests. No dining room as promised only bar meals. Rooms had been refurbished to a low standard with signs of poor workmanship. TV placed on a table inadequate to support its weight. Remote control system complex (2 handsets) and did not work. Shower head not adequately secured to the bathroom wall. When I commented on the lack of staff I was told that Chewton Place was not a hotel but a conference centre. My expereince was reflected in a few but not the majority of reviews. |

a relaxing place into the elegant country As generally I have found in England hotels (as well in higher categories) have poor hydraulic system in the bath rooms: wc, sink, missing or poor mixing valves for hot/cold water in the sink and shower respectively. |

Welcoming staff, good information, comfortable room, good surroundings, good breakfast, peaceful, quiet. The pub left much to be desired. no staff were present when we arrived; we had to shout for service. the meals were overpriced and badly cooked. I would not book again becuase of this experience. I was disappointed |

The staff were very helpful, rooms comfortable and not small, the hotel was quiet although there were conferences every day they did not interfere with the guests, breakfast was excellent. All in allexcellent value for money, and a good base to explore the area. |

What an amazing building, offering friendliness and comfort at a very affordable price and so close to the City. Nothing - I would totally recommend it and will definately stay again |

I was working close by and came upon the hotel by good fortune. Will definitely stay again. Only some of the other moaning guests who were on conferences and moaned about their work continuously - which is out of the hands of the hotel. |

Very helpful and friendly staff. Very pleasant sorroundings. Clean and comfortable. Free wi-fi in public areas. More of a conference/training centre than a hotel, but it did serve its purpose. |

The grounds were lovely and the hotel itself is just like an old mansion but you don't get to stay there but in a modern block to the side. But that said the room was comfortable and adequate. The dinner and breakfast we had were both excellent. We just found it a bit cold during the night when they turned off the radiators. |
