This impressive 5-star country house hotel has a 3 AA-Rosette restaurant, spa, gym and outdoor pool. A 10 minute drive from the New Forest, there is also a golf course and 4 tennis courts. Situated less than a mile from the coast, Chewton Glen Hotel has a luxurious spa featuring a sauna, steam room, and whirlpool. A range of treatments and massages are available. Each elegant room has a spacious sitting area, a satellite TV with DVD player and a minibar. Some rooms have balconies and views of the grounds, while all rooms have a luxury bathroom. Award-winning Vetiver restaurant offers fine dining with a seasonal menu, using local produce. There is a lounge bar and the traditional Afternoon Tea is popular. Clay pigeon shooting, falconry displays and the truly unique experience of duck herding is all within the hotel grounds. Horseback riding and fishing in the New Forest can also be arranged. The restaurant very ppor food quailty for the price. Hoitel was not nearly elegant as photos suggest- it looks lika one main house with two motel wings added. Would not go back.

An all too brief overnight visit to meet up with friends for a birthday dinner. We were very impressed with the luxury of the accommodation and the wonderful attitude of the staff who were attentive and smiling from dawn to dusk! Dinner was delicious.

The food was stunning, exceptional. The room design, the quality of the linen, the facilities,the amazing staff, the wonderful spa. The new restaurant design is much cosier than the old. Not a complaint as such, it is just so expensive that most people can only afford an occasional visit.

Service,food, spa facilities were all excellent and we couldn't fault it. It was a fantastic relaxing break where customer service was spot on. We stayed there to celebrate my husbands 60th birthday and we were not disappointed - was a memorable stay for all the right reasons. The only thing that would have made the stay even better for us was if there were tea and coffee making facilities in the room.

We loved everything about the hotel, except if we didn’t double check twice, a serious mix up with my wife's Gluten issue at dinner could have spoilt our stay. If she had eaten anything with Gluten, she would have been seriously ill, that's how serious her condition is..... The hotel need to be more aware with regards to people staying who have these issues; I informed them of my wife's condition before we arrived and on arrival!!!; We shouldn’t not have to keep reminding staff at all times, this is classed as five star hotel, so you should expect the service and attention to these important details from them....

Amazing experience from the personal check-in to check-out. The room was fantastic with huge bed, balcony, tv, dvd, cd player and Bose iPod dock. The bathroom was huge with twin sinks and a power shower. The Spa area was to die for and the masseur provided the best massage I'd ever had. The staff and other guests were friendly which added to the overall fantastic experience. The best 5 Star hotel I have ever stayed in, we didn't want to leave! As a once per year treat this is just about affordable, as it is horrendously expensive when you add in the meals and treats such as a massage, therefore I would have liked to have seen complimentary tea and coffee for the price. (I am really struggling to think of any other negative!)

Excellent room and bathroom. Good extra touches for our anniversary, also complimentary morning paper. Only downside was very slow service in the restaurant. - said to be due to new menu.

It was another delightful stay at the hotel, with excellent service and lovely food There was building work, which apparently was over running. The cost of staying at Chewton Glen is now significant and given the building work, results in the Fair rating for value for money.

Having stayed at five star hotels in various countries i have to place chewton glen up with the best,staff are absolutely great and as im local. I will certainly make it a regular treat and highly recommend to anybody regardless of your budget.
