Chairs in bedroom very uncomfortable (for anyone) but particularly for my husband who is walking on sticks and needs to be able to sit up in a chair during the night. We would like to come again, but need to be assured a better chair was availble

The house was bright and our hosts were friendly and welcoming. The tea and coffee served on our arrival was greatly appreciated. The breakfast menu choices were both innovative and very tasty and the portions suited us perfectly. We found the beds really comfortable and there was no shortage of hot water. Bathrooms and bedrooms were spotlessly clean and the communal lounge was a great asset.

There was a warm welcome with the offer of tea or coffee on arrival something you don't get in hotels. The room was excellent and so was the breakfast - lots of choice and freshly cooked to order. It was in a good location close to both Kingsbridge and Dartmouth. Very enjoyable stay and would not hesitate in recommending Chillington House.

Friendly staff, made us feel at home, well appointed, spacious and comfortable, wide variety of breakfast well cooked and presented. Thoughtful touches, such as fresh milk in rooms and fridge for use of guests.Tastefully refurbished to a high standard.

Start to end superb!!

Liked how the present owners have made the best of the building with their choice of decor and renovations. Loved the breakfast and view over the garden. Comfy bed etc.

The couple who own the place were very friendly and made us feel welcome. There was a variety to choose for breakfast and the cooked breakfast was very tasty. Excellent value for money and would thoroughly recommend the place for a comfortable stay.

Following a difficult drive through heavy rain we reached Chillington House it was lovely to have a warm greeting and a hot cup of coffee. The room and en-suite were comfortable and spotlessly clean and had everything you could want in it. Breakfast was beautifully cooked on both days and very well presented with alot of attention to detail, and the menu would cover all tastes.

The hosts were very helpful and friendly, the room was very good, comfortable and with very good fittings-comfortable bed. The breakfasts were also very good. The position of the hotel is great for Kingsbridge and a number of smaller beaches as well as Slapton Sands, Blackpool Beach and to venture to Dartmouth. Strongly recommended

Modern look to the rooms

Water didn't drain away very well from the shower so the bathroom floor was constantly wet

It was very relaxing and ideal for us to visit towns we wanted to see again

Hotel standards at B+B prices. Child friendly, nicely refurbished, large comfy bed, spotlessly clean and tidy throughout, very good selection for breakfast and cooked to order. Local area is beautiful and we would definately stay at Chillington House again.

It was exactly as described. The room was large and very clean and tidy. The bathroom was spacious with good facilities. The breakfast was excellent. There was lots of choice.

It was a little strange being the only guests. We got the impression from the booking that we had been lucky to find a room available on that date.
