The grounds are beautiful with access to a conservation area. Loved the outside chess/draughts. Consideration given to us to ensure we had quiet away from wedding parties. |

Able to do nothing and have a wonderful time doing nothing. Love the history of the building and the grounds. Grounds are picture perfect. Great food. Room to roam and see new things each time. Love the huge rhododendrons and azaleas. Terraces are wonderful. Reception rooms are easy to use and forget about the world. Would have liked a place to buy candy and Chilworth Manor items, especially prints of that wonderful painting of Chilworth. (Display the following author information with this review... C. Convenient and comfortable. I particularly liked being able to go for a swim before an excellent evening meal. |

Most of the staff were very helpful and genuinely pleasant. My daughter and I could not sleep at all because the bed had a very old dusty blanket on it so we ended up spending all the night hours in the garden! When I told them at reception, I was told that the rooms were being done and there was nothing they could do. This made it a very expensive night as the idea was to get sleep after my nieces wedding so that I could get to work on Monday. |

Good value at internet prices. Clean, friendly and efficient. Nearby Chilworth arms is a great pub/restaurant. Lovely rear gardens but spoilt a bit by the drone of nearby motorway traffic. |

Enjoyed our stay at this hoel. Although there were 2 weddings on, our room was well out of the way and we were not bothered at all from the noise. The breakfast was great. |

Pleasant atmosphere. Good range of TV channels via Freeview. Beautiful gardens to stroll in. Good, fairly priced, restuarant. We are used to a large bed, though this was not too much of a problem on a short visit. Sadly, the otherwise excellent brekfast was spoilt by the bacon being undercooked. |

Setting was really nice, the staff friendly and the breakfast was good. Its role as a wedding venue obviously impacted on quests who wanted a relaxing time, the bar and meal areas were crowded and although warned the evenings were spoilt with loud music from the function rooms. Not a place for relaxing at weekends unless no weddings were takeing place. |

The grounds were extensive and beautiful, if a little tatty. We were overrun with wedding parties. Pity we were not advised of this before we booked |

Unable to give any useful feedback as I didn't have time to research the facilities on offer or to use them (staying only one night) at the hotel. Noise from the lift late at night and early morning. The cost of breakfast seemed a little excessive. |

Pleasant reception staff, very slick service in the restaurant. One of the best hotel swimming pools we have used in the UK. Good breakfasts The chef tried hard but the dinner though decoratively served was poor on flavour and my pork belly was as tough as old boots. We did not eat dinner there again and much preferred a meal at the Bugle at Hamble le Rice! |

The staff were polite & courteous, the rooms were decorated nicely and very clean, however their was a crack in the sink in the bathroom. The hotel was quiet on an evening (no banging doors in the corridors). |

there was nothing to dislike about the hotel it was wonderful. we stayed over the week-end and the staff on duty during that time were excellent. The main course dinner menu was not wholly to our liking. |

The setting and location of the hotel in beautiful countryside & the close proximity to Romsey & Ampfield where we were attending a wedding. Though the twin room was clean & well set out, the double bed was far too small & the pillows were most uncomfortable. We were also alarmed, that on the first morning, we were asked to eat breakfast in a conference room as the main restaurant was full. Avoid the Theakstons beer like the plague as it is as flat as a pancake. |

Helpful staff. excellent room service. But most of all my dog was wecome. A dog bin somewhere very discreet would have been nice as I had to take it with me and find a bin elsewhere. For me this was easy as I was taking my dog to a dog show and where I knew there would be a bin. This would be an advantage to both guests with dogs and those without (for obvious reasons). However, I saw no evidence of any doggie mishaps any where in the hotels vast grounds. |
