Restaurant was quite dark but service was good

swimming pool last entry was 7.15 we arrived at the hotel at 7.00 and had no time to get there by 7.15 surely they could have had people till 9.00 p.m for most guests therefore the swimming pool becomes nonusable unless they stay in the hotel during daytime

Having to share lounge area with wedding party. Room very noisy with disco music from wedding suite. (I do realise that weddings are a large part of your business but I think ,that should not interfere with other guests comfort)

Superb building set in fantastic grounds. So peaceful yet so close to the motorway. A nice place to be after a busy day.

Most car parks were a bit uneven for pulling a siutcase.

Loved the gardens, our room was perfect, conference for economists was handled well, dinner was good. Lots of parking and easy access. Thank you for the booklet on things to do in Southampton. Lots of great ideas, including gardens. I asked at the reception about gardens to visit and she said she had no idea! You have wonderful things to see and the driving is easy. Thank you for a nice time.

my television came on all by itself at 6am and came on again when I took a short nap at 12:30. Weird. I would enjoy more options for breakfast. First day was 14 pounds, 28 pounds for us both having breakfast. That is too much! Wished for option of continental breakfast. Second day the same breakfast was 10 pounds for the same buffet. Who knows how this works.

Reception staff not as attentive and putting a trainee receptionist without a supervisor !!!! at the Front desk. There are going to be issues. Which there were!!!!. But this didnt spoil the stay,Just tarnished a little.

The disdain of the french receptionist checking us in, minimal conversation,no greeting,no directions to where room was. Extra bed too springy and creaked all night. Obvious hotel doesnt like children, aiming at middle aged couples and older or wedding/group functions. Restrictng pool to all children.. Understand no young kids disturbing members but my 2 girls swim 40 lengths and working on awards. Unreasonable cost of breakfast for children again confirms you dont want them present.

Had spare bed in the two rooms for our children and when they went to sleep on them they collapsed so couldn't use them informed reception in the morning and were still charged for them also rooms not that clean not value for the money we paid would not stay there again

Lovely food and clean with great spa and fitness facilities. Very comfortable bed.

Food prices STUPID! Breakfast £12 that is an utter rip-off & actually puts me off using the hotel. £7-£8 is expensive, which is average at other hotels, but your prices are immoral.

The hotel is a very nice hotel, with friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are very good and it is in an idela location for myself (from a business perspective). It is a relaxing place to stay after a long day at work.

compared to other Best Westons....menu bit limited. food ok, but not value for money when paying seperately room and food. so after first evening meal we went elsewhere.

Nice building, nice rooms quiet and ideal for getting some work done. Great food in the restaurant and gluten free etc marked as standard

Although staff excellent in most respects, let down by wrong glass types for wine, not knowing what port is... and serving a "gluten free" cheesboard with bread on it.... All but the last minor but surprising when the food is so good

Woken at 6 am each day. 4am once by somebody putting tv on loudly

I was not informed price for breakfast had been increased to £14.25 and I was charged £2.50 for a paper I did not order!

I liked the atmosphere created by the old house

The room was freezing cold when I first arrived. I would have liked a bath but the bathroom was cold.
