Chimneys  

This is a vey cosy small b&b with superb personal attention. Surely I will return!

Very friendly and welcoming. Room and property was very clean and very comfortable.

We came to Chimneys because it was close to Stansted Airport and because in the photographs it looked better than the competition. We were pleasantly surprised just how good our decision had been! The immediate and warm welcome, the 4 star and luxurious feel, the superb breakfast and the general helpfulness and friendliness of the hosts was above our high expectations. We really did enjoy the few hours that we had and will definitely stay there again when we next visit England and will be recommending it to many other people who are on their way to come and visit us here in Croatia. It is also important to note that there was absolutely no noise from aeroplanes or from traffic even though we were just 5 minutes drive from the airport! Excellent place.

The location so near to our daughter's new home in Stanstead Mountfitchet was initially the primary reason for selecting Chimneys. We were most positively not disappointed with our selection and would hope to repeat the most enjoyable experience of our first stay at Chimney's as soon as another family gathering is being organised.

It was a very pleasant place, the area was excellent in having a good choice of restaurants. I always prefer guest houses to often impersonal hotels.

Chimneys comprises 3 old cottages now cleverly and thoughtfully integrated. Our room was clean, well appointed and well ordered. The bed was comfortable and the room snug and warm. Hot water was always instantly available. Our host was very helpful and always keen to see that our needs were being met. And the English breakfasts served were a splendid start to each day.... We will stay there again when we next visit Stansted; a village that shows all the signs of being cared for by its residents. Please pass these comments on to The Chimneys' owners. Terrific! A cute b&b, family atmosphere, clean, a few cozy rooms ten minutes to Stansted Airport close to train station... Nothing to say just perfect...

Very cosy and comfortable accomodation with very friendly personnel. The breakfast was also first-class!

Great room with a wonderfull English breakfast not very far from stansted aiport.

In my room and the room next to me the sink and the toilet are connected to a saniflow system that makes noise. The water for the shower was heated with a small electrical system that made noise as well. In principle not a problem only annoying if somebody during the night goes to the toilet; showers very early. Besides this all I would like to recommend this guest house and would definitely stay here again.

A beautiful property with a clean and goodsized room, plenty of hot water. The breakfast was lovely, served in a gorgeous room with beautiful linen and home made preserves . It certainly deserves its 4 star rating.

We stayed there as we were flying from Stansted Airport early the next day and did not want to be stuck at the airport the night before, which would have been the case had we booked any of the airport hotels.Our room was spotless, the owner was most helpful and gave us plenty of advise on where to eat in the village of Stansted Mountfitchet. We had a lovely meal at the local Indian and a nice pint afterwards in a local pub.Trip to the airport in the morning (took a train) was so easy and uncomplicated, took 6 minutes and saved us money.The train station is only 5 minute walk from Chimneys. Would definetely stay again when travelling from Stansted Airport. Not a big fan of souless Airport hotels, like to give my money to great small business's such as Chimneys!

Cannot think of anything I didn't like. The room was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. We didn't have time for breakfast, but the owner was kind enough to offer some croisants and fruits for our journey.What a gem. We slept well and were refreshed to carry on our journey.Next time we fly from Stansted or need room in this area I would definetely stay here again!
