Friendly staff, wonderful room, a proper hidden gem
Great location on edge of the town, easy walk to shops and restaurants. excellent staff. Very friendly. Stayed in room 4 which was amazing. Great view of the sunset from the room.
My only problem was the bed. It was too soft.
nicely furnished good variety of breakfast items fresh milk for drinks in room warm, quiet room use of bath robes
wasn't sure what to expect of a 5 star guest house, but I did think there would be face flannels supplied. A bit of a nuisance having to serve our own coffee- would have been a nice touch to have had the first cup poured, at least. Tomatoes in full english were served raw, which I have never come across before
A warm friendly welcome on arrival and at breakfast. Parking on site. Convenient for walking into Skipton. Excellent breakfast.
Helpful staff great locatio Fantastic bedroom and bathroom
Good location, breakfast, heating and friendly staff
Bed side light switches too high and just in wrong position
The very welcoming attention given on arrival. Very good accommodation and clean. Breakfast excellent.
Disappointing that wi-fi not in rooms. No lounge room to sit and access wi-fi.
Breakfasts were very good Locality for Skipton very good walking distance,
Very comfortable , convient for skipton ,plenty of tourist info on table. Good breakfast Carparking
Would have liked a later breakfast time for a weekend stay.eg 8-10am. Pet dog poohing on hall carpet.
Lovely stay at a superb Guest house. Fantastic breakfast. Close to town and local amenities!
Just a short stroll from the great array of pubs and eateries of Skipton, this is a cosy, very comfortable B&B. Very warm welcome, great nights sleep, delicious breakfast. Will definately return.
Nice, pleasant B+B well situated, wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
Ha Ha,The Butter !! Awful !!!! but was informed by our Hostess that it was a locally made speciality !! Think he must of dropped his wellies in it !!
We were made to feel very welcome. Chinthurst is a lovely old house furnished in period style with all mod.cons. The breakfasts were excellent even for me who just has a continental breakfast. We would certainly recommend staying here if you want a quiet place yet only 5 minutes walk into town.
I know I'm super-sensitive but perhaps new pillows?
The stay was great and they were good throughout.
Great location Wonderful host yorkshire hospitality
Every thing was great.
We liked everything.
Everything! A warm welcome greeted us on arrival from the south of England. Lovely accommodation and wonderful food for breakfast.
Stayed last year in a beautiful luxury room in the main house and decided to go back again this year. Although we booked a luxury room in accordance with the website and we assumed in the main house we were put in a converted outhouse round the back with no view and windows in the ceiling. General cleanliness in this room was not up to last years standard in the main house. The emergency lighting on the ceiling glowed bright green at night affecting our sleep. Would not go back again.
Being put in a conversion at the back of the house which should attract a cheaper price.
The room was lovely and cleaned to perfection funiture beautiful bed not to bad house lovely.
Hard towels should be put indryer to soften Haveing to do your own toast in morning and pouring your own coffee we have stayed other b&b in skipton four times this year but chinthurst was the dearest but we were waited on in the other places perhaps furniture not so beautifull but would rather stay at the other places for homelyness and friendlyness.
The warmth of our welcome. The fabulous breakfast. The generosity of thought and attention to detail.
Very friendly, large comfortable rooms, walking distance to all the sights. Splendid breakfast choice, quiet location, proprietess with marvelous sence of humor and a nice eye for 'extras'
Our room was upgraded on our arrival which was excellent. Excellent food Luxury rooms
We had a large room at the front, really nice room, quite, big bathroom, good breakfast, walking distance to town
Bed mattress was too soft for our liking, most places seem to have modern firm ones now, we were asked to pay in advance which we found odd, so I paid by credit card just in case there was a problem, but actually good B&B would stay again
