Hotel is quiet and very comfortable and in a connvenient location. Staff are friendly and efficient. Food very good. A real alternative to 'chain' hotels. One or two 'interesting' fittings in the room but not drastic for an overnight stay. |

Friendly staff, lovely surroundings, large bedroom and bathroom, tastefully furnished and decorated. Food well cooked and served by friendly staff. Really enjoyed our stay and would recommend. I wish I knew the hairdryer was in a drawer. Very old fashioned lock on bedroom door. You need a key to get into hotel if wanting to stay out after 11pm. But staff were very polite and helpful and this did not really spoil our stay. |

It was quiet and peaceful. The room and bathroom size were exceptional for a three star hotel - I have had smaller rooms in 4 and 5 star rated hotels even when paying supplements for upgraded facilities |

Room was excellent Lack of water pressure - shower was little more than a dribble. The free wireless wasn't really usable, it was either extremely slow or kept kicking me off. |

Excellent breakfast. Great surroundings. Lovely big room Room was a little 'tired' in its furnishings and the bed on castors moved! |

The environment The breakfast brought to the hotel wasn't value for money at all, we've had a lot better. We expected more breakfast, and some stuff wasn't brought up to the the room so we had to ask for extra things. |

OLd style rooms, exellent food Everything was perfect until there were problems printing a file for me. In the middle of the process they started a backup so could no longer assist me. Manageress was very unhelpful, acting as if it was out of place for me to ask since printing was not a normal sevice. She blamed me for the situation. I would expect sincere apologies that she could no longer help and trying to help find altern |

The full english breakfast was 10/10,the best i have ever tasted and the staff were very polite and helpfull, this was a very relaxed nice place to stay.we couldnt of asked for more. Over all stay 8/10 The bedroom was very old fashioned, decore and funiture.Def needs a update and the bed was also quite hard,i did book this hotel for the reason of it having four poster beds, but it was very ugly and i was a little disapointed. |

The food, service and size and comfort of the room all contributed to a very comfortable stay Seem to take a lot of water before any hot came from the bathroom taps or shower |

I have been staying at Hotels in Swindon area for 2 years in connection with business. This was the the best Value for Money Hotel I have ever stayed at in the UK let alone Swindon area. Unfortunately my business budget cannot stretch to using the hotel regular on their normal rates, so I may not be able to use it again, which will be my only disappointment. I highly recommend Chiseldon House Hotel, as all the features described by them are correct, fabulously appointed room with all facilities, great food, excellent staff who care about quality of service. Don't be put off by the short drive out of Swindon, it IS worth it. |
