Paying for wifi
Dirty room, bad drains and noise in room. Not enough bar staff. Room service poor.
15 minutes to check in. No parking available. Stayed same time last year and was able to park on site. Not told until arrival that parking was not available and directed to a street where max stay was four hours. No good to me as 8 hour stay was my time frame. Service in bar was so slow. Contents for cocktail ordered not in stock so after a 10 minute wait to be served had to quickly change our minds. Eventually opted for room party and use room service. Food cold and drinks served without ice or lemon. Complete shambles. Will not stay next year nor will my colleagues as everything was so very different from last year and was a thoroughly un enjoyable experience.
The noise coming out of the bar/reception area on a Friday night at around 8pm would knock you over...
Being really close to the tube station. The lighting in the room.
Room was noisy there was a number of creaks coming from upstairs during the night. The room was cold and didn't warm up very well and the heater was very noisy and the bathroom was cold.
Nice room, clean, friendly helpful staff, comfortable bed, close to tube station, very prompt to help when we had a problem with heating
Couldn't get heating working in our room but staff brought us a fan heater whilst they tried to sort it, they tried a couple of times but in the end we just used the heater
Rooms are pleasant, soundproofed Food is good and not bad value for money in a central location
Hotel Bar is very noisy and busy. The car park was closed which was very inconvenient.
Our friends were given a room that was already occupied don't need the problem after a long day .should be more staff on the reception desk because he was taking phone calls as well as checking us in .so mistakes are made.
Staff were excellent and the rooms were lovely.
The bedding was hard and uncomfortable.
We have stayed at the Chiswick Moran on a number of occasions and choose it because of its proximity to the motorway and the ease of parking. This time, the car park has been demolished. Neither the hotel nor booking.com highlighted this. Its a great hotel in all other respects
It's got a great location if you're working in and around Chiswick, and need to get easily to heathrow. It's under renovation, so I'm hoping things can only get better... Great room - on the 7th floor, with fabulous views, plenty of space, and very quiet.
Wifi. It's like water, fresh air, and a comfy bed these days, right? This is 2014, after all. But at the Chiswick Moran you have to pay 15 pounds per device, per day. Yes that's right 15 pounds (€19). Per device. Per day. Per room. Okay - you can use the free wifi in reception, but you'd better be patient. But in your room, no, this is back to the dark ages, and a 3 day stay will set you back 45 pounds (€57) just to check your mail in your room. Wow. And that's also true in the Executive Double Rooms that cost €360 per night. Why not go further and charge people 1 pound to use loo-roll...? Or you could charge for the lifts? Also the breakfast was promising, in that they took your order and prepared breakfast for you, but it was unfortunately a little disappointing. The bar closed at 11:30pm which was a little disappointing too - there were plenty of people left in the bar. The staff were overall pretty friendly though, but being able to point out on a map where your hotel is, is fairly important for a receptionist, but maybe I'm being picky.
I really liked the room's decor and the fact that it was tidy. Despite the bar found tiara being noisy, the room was tranquil and had good views. Unfortunately, The staff at the front desk did not match the warmth of the room. They were borderline rude.
Staff did not appear happy and this came through in their service.
this is a hotel I have used many times it is very convenient to visit relatives.
Rooms had a touch of luxury about them.
Small TV in room, some communication problems with staff, their English not being fluent
Friendly staff, great location
Really good sized room for 3, could easily have accommodated 4, not like the big chains where they take a standard room and shoehorn extra beds in. If you went with kids you could separate the room with a sliding door for quietness and privacy. Lovely beds and bathroom excellent
Breakfast a bit pricey for what you got but was freshly cooked and very nice
The location is brilliant, the staff are lovely very helpfull love the bar aswell food is always good here too.
I absolutely hate the triangular toilet!! I mean come on the worst design ever. the bed & the pillow was like sleeping on a concrete floor, i woke up with every joint in my body aching, not very good when you have a full day of walking around london.
The duty manager was so helpful to us as we were not told about there being no car park, he found us a space and was really polite. We were disappointed because we had booked way in advance and were not updated.
Location, size of room
A little dreary and tired
The location and bar facilities.
Awful tea and milk in the room, air conditioning which was resistant to warm settings, two hard pillows, lukewarm breakfast.
Location Bar Friendly Staff
Very convenient for where we were going. Nice large room.
Bed was a little too hard Drinks in the bar were pricey
I always stay there as I love the area and great public transport.
The room was great on first sight. Spacious and airy, the bathroom was fabulous with both a walk in shower and a bath.
The negative points were that to turn off the bedside lamp I had to get out of bed and use a wall switch on the opposit wall, the were no plug sockets near the bed to charge phone, iPad etc. on arrival we found there was no longer a car park and that there was building work going on that commenced at 7.30 am on the Saturday morning; not at all conducive with a relaxing weekend away. When we complained about the noise and not being informed during the booking process the situation was not dealt with satisfactorily.
