Was in the centre of Village Hostess very friendly and chatty Brought us extra bedding when we said it was cold and left heating on all day
Location - in the small village of Betws Y Coed with plenty of restaurants and hotels to choose from for your evening meal. Nice and quiet, basic facilities but all you will need for a week end away. Breakfast - Great way to start the day.
Bed - It was one of the most uncomfortable I have ever slept in. Distance - A twenty minute drive from the base of Snowdon.
Church View house is in a wonderful location to set off and explore the stunning countryside by day, or to visit the local pubs and resteraunts at night.
The decor is very dated (looks like it was last updated in the 60's). The rooms were clean but basic. An old TV with freeview channels not working correctly and fuzzy, no wifi in the room (the family suite), carpet around the toilet ( a horrible DNA trap even when it looks clean). We only used this place because Glenwood House was fully booked.
The location of this B. & B. is excellent. One street away from the centre of the village and yet quiet. The parking is suitable and free. The owners are extremely nice and make you feel very welcome. The room was clean. The hot and cold breakfast was suitable. If you like cat, the owners have got a lovely, friendly one and it will come on your knees in the lounge.
The bathroom is a bit small but still perfectly suitable for a short stay.
Good service, fine location, very beautiful place, nice owner Julia, a big room for rest with speed internet, a piano, chees. you need to understand that all services in the category of 3 stars. cheap holiday in a beautiful location.
not very clean linens
Location was perfect!
Could hear noisy neighbors Parking was tight but free
the pussy cat's welcome!
Friendly staff good location
Very good Location Nice staff
variety of breakfast
Good location and friendly helpful staff
Bedroom decor was a bit tired Bed was very uncomfortable and shower was poor
Excellent location right in the centre tucked away behind the church. Good breakfast, although no Omelette! Staff very friendly in a natural way.
Mattress in Rm3 seemed to fall away on each side so it felt like I was on a slight slope. TV was right up near the ceiling in the corner so made viewing a little uncomfortable, but as it was a family room this was probably the only place where everyone would be able to see it.
Our room was nice, clean and comfortable, bathroom lovely, plenty of hot water for a bath, very much appreciated after our climb up snowdon, breakfast very nice, we will stay again,
The location was good, and the breakfast was OK. It was quiet, and we slept well.
The room was a bit small for a family room, and there was no fridge, and the Wifi reception was poor.
Loved the power shower :)
Scrambled eggs :(
Breakfast slow and cold on sunday.Church bells through night every hour
The waitress was so helpful and ready to please. The location was good in the fact all major attractions were in good reach.
On arriving we were given a key by a woman chatting to another person. We went to our room and it was adequate for our needs. Unloading luggage spoke to same woman...I had to ask who she was and was very surprised she was the owner. We returned one eve. about 8.30pm to find the place locked up, tried to enter using the security code but no luck. Went to neighbour asked him to phone contact number. He did and the owner had returned. We were told we turned the handle the wrong way (we had tried everything) and made to feel as if we were stupid, by both the owner and her daughter. We had not been shown only told this is the security number. Not very professional.
Breakfast was excellent, staff were friendly and very good. Nothing was too much trouble. The owner was also very friendly and
Shower in room was very snug. and for ME the bed was not comfortable but I am very fussy, others may find it adequate.
good location！nice breakfast and nice staff!
Hot water system fed by combination boiler so the shower was very difficult to use - everytime another tap or shower was used the pressure was lost on the hot side so the temperature was constantly going cold - the alternative was to run the bath but this took 20 mins to half fill
Location and large room.
Staff helpful and friendly, location excellent
Carpet in bathroom also no bath mat. Could have done with some crisp white bed linen
Location, good breakfast, soft beds.
Cat in dining room or on kitchen work tops. Too small shower.
Location / Staff / Breakfast - first class
Slight issue 1st night with noise from room below, did not spoil my time at Church Hill House
The staff and the views
Steep drive way and steep street leading to it. I am an OAP
Great for exploring Snowdonia. Good breakfast to set you up for the day.
