Firstly the photos on the website didn't give a true reflection of the cottage we stayed in, everything was abit tatty and dated, the sofa was in 3 separate pieces pushed together which kept moving apart, the fireplace wasn't attached to the wall and stood about 2 inches away from it, the fire which u plugged in didn't work, the cooker in the kitchen must have been at least 20 yrs old and had dirty tinfoil inside it, there was no bin or bin bag provided in kitchen, the bedroom carpet had stains on it, the shower didn't have adequate hot water, there was mould round the shower and paint peeling off the wall. Outside there was a bench to sit on in among the odd bit of rubbish scattered around and an old broken swing seat,( not a good impression as you approach). The owners seemed friendly, tho as somebody else commented about them pouncing on you for payment immediately I can see why as they proberbly no the complaints that would be on there way...!. We only stayed for 2 nights and we ate out and only used it as a base, but I would not have stayed any longer than that. Overall I wouldn't recommend anyone to stay here, and I have stayed in much nicer places for less, overall it was a bit tatty, abit dated, and everything seemed abit grubby, very overpriced for a basic, slightly scruffy property!
It was in a pretty village with a good public transport route.
