The cooked breakfast was excellent.
Music was played in the bar until midnight every night. This made sleeping impossible before midnight.
Value for money. Friendly staff . Good breakfast. Central location. Clean comfortable rooms.
The narrow access to the car park is a bit of an adventure.
the location was great and the staff were very good and helpful.
Location Very clean room Lovely bedding Good breakfast Attentive and helpful staff
Nothing only thing I would say is that the car park was tight but overall not a complaint as it was onsite and free which was great
Visited when quiet so plenty of room in car park for our estate car, very friendly, and although not personally tasted bar food highly recommended by a friend that lives locally. Breakfast excellent. Enjoyed our 1 night and would stay again
Room on road, and happened to be bin day, so woken by noise of lorry, good job or would have been late for breakfast.
Location great, clean and comfortable room.
We were in room 27, shocking noise levels until around 12/1pm. Was like having a disco in our bedroom. Car park not great, had to wait 10 mins to get out as guests abandoned cars at only entrance/exit. Cleaners sat in cleaning room - when we got up fir breakfast there were 3 of them sat with their backs directly at wall were our bed was, not a lovely thought! Overall wouldn't stay again unless you like loud noises music .....
Music from pub very loud in rooms. The car park is also totally unacceptable - the side entrance is tight and if there are no spaces (and there were not) there is no room to turn around and go back out.
The cleanliness and value for money.

Staff, breakfast, atmospher,
Narrow entrance to car park,
Great central location
Music noise from downstairs late evening
Friendly and helpful staff Good Location Good food
Parking was limited and entrance to the car park very tight luckily had a small sized car. Noise in the evening
Great location, friendly staff, room clean, breakfast lovely, good value for money. We have stayed many times and would stay again.
Car park a bit small but adequate, we have never had any problems parking.
The room was comfortable and clean
From the write ups and pictures one was given the impression of a fine looking hotel - but it is a pub which has a sports TV which carries on at full volume 'til 12.30 when the pub next door takes over with loud music. Not good value at all - it is a pub with a few rooms but charging hotel prices.
The location was a great base to get out and explore the Lake District. Also good for an evening for dining and drinking in Ambleside itself.
The Hotel carpark was extremely small and tight to manoeuvre in. We also struggled to get a space one evening. Although not the hotels fault our car did get a scuff/knock.
We had a top rear facing room with a great view over Ambleside. Breakfast was very good. Room tidy with a nice bed.
Our shower had no power at all. Car park very tight but the staff are a great help with any problems with your car.
Pretty much everything about the place was great especially for the price. I would come back here again without question
View from room. Sash windows. Location.
Breakfast was average. No filter coffee. No fruit, yogurt. Parking very tricky.
We had a lovely stay, everything was perfect, staff was lovely and very helpful and welcoming.
Couldn't fault anything
Good location, friendly staff, enough parking, breakfast was good, good place to have b&b in a central location, wont mind staying there again at the given price.
Everything was fair
central bar food ok
car park entrance very narrow and limited space breakfast was luke warm and very small buffet selection poor
Room clean with fresh white cotton bedding. Well tiled bathroom. Room "superior" because it was on 2nd floor, away from karaoke bar? Just as well.
Very concerned that fire procedure notice stated fire exit via room next door yet this room locked with no handle. Barman first said the room was rented out & we would have to go down to 1st floor fire exit.Later said the door would open automatically in case of fire. As doors opened by old fashioned key could not credit this. Had we not enquired we would have lost precious seconds in event of fire. Not good! Bouncer on pub door during evening. Not a good vibe.
Location was really good.
The breakfast was really bad and the coffee was even worse.
location, breakfast, rooms
car park to small
Location was perfect, nice bar with friendly helpful staff. Rooms were spotless, large and comfy. Breakfast was lovely.
Our room was directly above the bar so was a bit noisy until 11-1130. The room was extremely hot even without the radiators on and I had to sleep with the window open although it was in late October.
