The location was town centre but not noisey. Great hotel. Air con in the bar but not in the rooms, would be a great improvement. |

Room facilities were reasonable, breakfast was excellent Managers attitude when asked why my room had not been cleaned, managers attitude was dreadful, advised I could "wake him up in the morning if I was still unhappy" Parking facilities are awful just as descibed on previous reviews.Lift N/A will concern those who cannot carry heavy bags up stairs, staff do not offer to help |

Our bedroom and bathroom were both really clean, bright and airy. The car park put us off when we arrived as it is very narrow and tight and we have a big car |

The room was spacious and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was good. The hotel was in the town centre so was convenient for local shops and entertainment also the local countryside was accessible without having to use the car. The entrance to the car park was simply awful with only enough room for 8 cars once in there. Other hotels in the town had similar problems as well to be fair but the churchills website tended to play down this problem. I asked for a discount on my room because i was on my own but was told this was not possible because they could have let it to a couple although the hotel was half empty. |

The Hotel was much as we expected from the website discription. Food was really good. On a 1to10 we would rate it at 7' The room was a little small for a 'superior' classification and the lack of a chair was noticable. Parking could be described better on the website. |

Home cooked breakfast, nice although little choice if you dont want cooked brekkie, only 4 cereals choice no yoghurts meusli etc for the healthier breakfast. Bedroom not bad but no pressure in water for electric shower which makes it malfunction without water pressure so sometimes hot then goes cold 3Th floor bedroom without a lift, no effort by staff to offer to carry cases, from carpark its 4 floors up to carry cases up to room. Car Park very difficult tight to enter |

Hotel staff very helpful and friendly. Rooms newly referbished. Central Location in the heart of Ambleside. Not able to get an early night due to noise from the bar area below the room. |

Very central in Ambleside. Modern, clean rooms. Breakfast good and served hot. It has a busy bar with Sky TV which you have to push through to go to your room. Can be noisy at night. There are no lifts and no help with bags. Parking is tight. |

The staff were all very friendly and helpful, we needed to store milk for our 15 month old, and they stored it in their fridge and gave it to us when we needed it. The room was clean and spacious and had a fantastic view. Lovely food, we had dinner there the first night. The car park enterance was very small, but we managed ok to get our car into the car park! |
