We enjoyed our stay at the inn very much as it was particularly handy for visiting the places we wished to see. The room we occupied was very quiet and very well appointed which was very much to our liking. We were however a little disappointed with the service from some of the staff in the restaurant and the bar where we waited some time to be served while the bar staff served a good many others, who were quite clearly regulars, ahead of us. As a result we left the bar without buying drinks and spent a couple of hours in an alternative place where the service was warm and welcoming which was a pity especially at a time of the year when the number of visitors to the area is dropping. |

Enjoyed our stay, could be noisey at times due to the activities taking place in the bar. Very narrow entrance to car park and car parking space very restricted in terms of space. The parking area and menu was limited. |

Cleanliness was excellent, room comfortable (lovely shampoo and shower gel!), good breakfast. Excellent location for walks in area, and shopping and restaurants in Ambleside. Parking could be a problem if you need to get away early (before 9.30am) due to guests having to double park when hotel is busy. Some late night noise from pub/town but not too bad when we stayed (end Oct) - and we were on top floor which probably helped minimise noise. |

The room was spacious with plenty of storage - great as we had lots of walking gear. Very clean and for the Ambleside area a very reasonable price. |

Hotel is lovely, excellent location plus staff are so friendly. We have stayed 3 times at this hotel and have booked twice more for this year alone. The carpark is a little tight but lets face it a carpark which you dont have to pay for in the middle of Ambleside is great. Just an all round fab hotel. |

Staff very helpful. Room & bathroom very clean Noise from the inn. After the inn closed peole congregated outside and made a lot of noise which went on until 12.30 am. Would recommend the hotel but warn them of the possible noise. |

The accommodation was excellent and the food plentiful and good value for money. The staff were also very friendly. Our room had no shower, only a bath with a spray attached to the taps and no shower curtain. |
