Score from 173 reviews Wonderful
The location cleanliness of the room and helpfulness of the staff were good.
It was a trek to top floor and the car park was tight but these aren't really a problem unless you had mobility issues or weren't a confident driver
Breakfast was good the location is good
The rooms and the beds uncomfortable no pressure in the shower hot water was only warm the parking wasn't good didn't know about the extra parking which would of been good a lot of noise in the rooms on the front of the pub when chucking out time and early morning deliveries
Location, views, staff, breakfast
Location friendly staff
Terrible wi fi connection
Like it all but music until 1 am was not good for us as we wanted a quiet break parking was not much good had to wait 15 minuets to get my car out in all a nice place to stay if you don't like sleep would recomend but inform the music goes on for hours
The location of the Churchill makes it ideal for walks etc The food was excellent and the staff friendly
Nothing really not to like
Staff and food. The pub very freindly
Narrow entrance to parking. The stairs! To be fair however the staff helped with our luggage.
Everything.. noisy, terrible uncomfortable bed.. broken shower, small poky room, dirty carpet, dirty curtains.. just terrible experience all round couldn't leave quick enough the next morning .. and very expensive too for what it was.
Close to the pubs and restraunts
staff breakfast room
Lack of hot water Tight entrance and car park
Great service, comfy ved and a fab breakfast. A perfect spot from which to explore Ambleside and the lakes.
The car park entrance is very narrow so take your time!
Rooms very clean excellent breakfast and the staff were superb enjoyed the break and would stay there again
Toilets downstairs poor gents no locks on doors ladies untidy.
The rooms and staff were good
What we didn't like about it is that the car park and we had 2 go through the bar 2 get 2 our room
Food, staff, entertainment, cleanliness, location, and the works.
The weather, but you can't have it all.
Room ok - as a superior room it was clean and tidy but no better than a premier inn. Town centre location good
Car park poor access, small, limited and difficult parking. Shower head dirty Noisy up until midnight
Central location, Friendly staff, good amenities, good value.
Car Park access too narrow for larger vehicles (BMW 7 series). No proper Shower.
Value for money. Great location. Good breakfast Free car park
Car park very small
Our room was clean and comfortable.
The noise from bar down below had job to sleep that put us off staying there again,
The staff were extremely helpful.
The amount of stairs. No proper shower and noise from people staying next door. (Snoring kept us both awake for several hours both nights).
Good central location in Ambleside, with, in our case a good view. Staff very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble.
Parking was difficult due to the size of the car park, however staff are aware of this and do all they can to alleviate the problem. Access for the disabled would be problematic.
Good location Good service both when we checked in and at breakfast Our room was kleen and had a good bathroom Good stay for the money
The entrence was through a dark bar/pub. The Wi-fi was in the pub and did feel a little to dark for my taste. Should have been a separate entrence for the hotel partly seperate to the pub to get an other expression - No hotel "lounge" feeling
The room, location, the view.
The sports pub, the "live music" (karaoke), the parking was cramped, breakfast only available for 1 hour (8.30 - 9.30), no fruit available at breakfast.
Grand breakfasts, friendly staff, good central location
The bed was a tad soft for our liking (but all was clean and tidy). The parking was extremely lacking as there were only a few spaces and the entrance to the car park was very very narrow between buildings.
Breakfast and service was excellent
Didnt enjoy climbing so many stairs If we had known we had to climb so many stairs we may not have booked, a 1st floor would have been ok.
