The hotel is nice and near to the center and not so far to the main touristic spots. Instead of being just a little bit noise and old, the hotel is perfect for short trips. A little bit noise and old. The room needs to be refurnished.

Spacious room. Very helpful staff & pleasant attitude. Within walking distance of many activities. Excellent menu & cooking. Thick dust on top of inadequate wardrobe. Cobwebs above door of room inside. Room needed a spring clean. One curtain needed attention. Several creaking floorboards in room.

The location and room was good. Wedding meal was excellent. Breakfast meal was poorly organised with a long wait for toast bacon eggs etC. no juice . when I expressed my disappointment a member of staff more or less suggested that they were very busy and that I should just accept that fact. Quite an unprofessional response! and disappointing when put in the context of an excellent wedding meal the previous day.

The mews cottage was large, 2-storied and we could bring our dog. It was very cosy, even in freezing winter, with ample radiators. Great bathroom, sofas, tv and able to park right outside the room. We chose the location because it is situated walking distance from my sister's flat, who we were visiting. The bed and pillows turned out to be very uncomfortable, which was a big disappointment after the initial delight about the mews cottage. Just a cheap nasty bed and flimsy pillows, which for £69 a night (£89 on weekends) was not what we expected. Better beds at Premier Inn for half the price! The bed is the most important thing in a hotel room, so why cut corners Churchills? Shame on you!

Availability at short notice The room was poor. In desperate need of redecoration; old & unfashionable furniture; uncontrollable heat in the bathroom; uncomfortable bed; stains on bed & carpet.
