Staff brilliant. Food excellent, especially breakfast. Unbeatable value. Large free car park
Hotel us a little tired. Carpets in general need replacing. Room was ok but again a little tired
The staff could not do enough for you and to make your a good
The curtains are always coming of the the rail
Helpful and friendly staff
Very helpful and kind staff. Family apartment was huge, living room with sofa beds on the ground floor and bedroom and bathroom on the upper level. Parking in front of the apartment
A little far to walk to the city centre but still manageable (30 mins)
The friendly atmosphere
The for breakfast was very good nice and hot.
The hotel was very run down carpet very worn sticky tap holding it together. No atmustfear what so ever.
We stayed in a double room which was clean and warm( it was very cold outside at the time), the bed was comfortable and in the morning I felt like I slept in my own one. Will definitely stay there next time we visit Cardiff.
Small portions of food, staff overworked
Staff, comfort, value, location, cleanliness, helpfulness, facilities, size of room, quality of food and service.
Good bed, plenty of space in the cottage. Reasonable breakfast. A small reduction in the bill was offered as recompense for the failures.
Room was not serviced. Bathroom taps are dangerous as the water is not mixed, it comes out in parallel streams. My wife burned her hand under the hot flow. Sunday morning breakfast was straight out of Fawlty Towers, waiter got the order wrong twice and it took for ever to arrive. Sunday evening bar snack was presented with one third of what was offered on menu. Waitress argued and said we could only have one of the three things that were supposed to be included. "That's what it says on the till", she claimed. Customers don;t see the till. Eventually we got what was printed on the menu!
Helpful cheerful staff ! Free wifi Parking solid breakfast good beer !
The room was spacious and well heated but furnishings were shoddy, cushions falling apart,a bathroom bin that did not function, shortage of drawer space ,absence of shelves in poorly lit bathroom and no mirror within reach of the hairdryer.
The room we had was worth a lot more than the £50 we paid for the night! Will be staying again very soon!
Booked a single room and got upgraded to a suite as they weren't busy! (Mon & Tues night). Excellent service and friendly staff. Meals were good - pasta portion was massive - couldn't finish it. Can recommend the Cajun chicken - spicy, succulent and came with home made coleslaw - delish - and the ale was good too. Breakfast was included - full British fry up - black pudding was divine. Would definitely stay again.
Bed wasn't the most comfortable... but can't really complain because of the bargain price!
The staff was very helpful, there is a lot of parking space and the access to city center and M4 is easy. Ideal for business traveller
I was upgraded to one of the cottages, which I thought was a nice gesture...but the décor is a bit oldish and the bed not so comfortable. The food is tasteless and mostly looks like ready-to-eat microwaved (both breakfast and dinner at the bar).
Breakfast and breakfast staff good
very run down could do with an upgrade
Friendly and helpful staff. Cost.
Carpets, decor are very"tired" Hotels needs refurbishment but the cost was low
Good breakfast. Oceans of hot water.
Very cold day and no heating on when we entered our suite. Took a long time to warm up,
Waiter named Spark (I´m not sure if his name is correct :-D ) was very friendly. Room was clean and we were very happy with very comfortable mattress.
My cooked breakfast was swimming in the water. I don´t know from what - maybe from mushrooms served with a lots of water on the ladle (??) Because of this I didn´t enjoy my breakfast so much but rest was OK.
The bar looked okay and the breakfast wasn't dreadful
It was grubby, in need of a refurb and the rooms were cold
Able to park and walk into Cardiff although takes 30mins
The price of the room for single occupancy was£300 on the night of the Wales England 6 Nations match but that is probably inevitable.
everything was ok at the hotel no compalints except one which i will put in the didnt u like
we had room 22 we didnt like the amount of stairs next time we need a room with less stairs
beds to small & hard
Excellent staff gave a friendly helpful welcome. Great atmosphere and food was excellent
Enjoyed the atmosphere of this listed building but needs refurbishment in places. Didnt spoil the stay as I was still great value for money.
