Peaceful setting and good access to beach and coastal footpath.

Very tight access to some of the chalets. Our chalet was an older type. There was a musty odour and could have done with a shaver point in bathroom.

We loved being perched on the hillside level with the woodland canopy and seeing bird life in the treetops. It was like being in a giant bird hide with windows all along one side. A haven for bird-lovers! Each lodge was placed so that it had complete privacy from other lodges. You were hardly aware of other people around you. Great location with short walk to a beautiful coastline and lovely beach.

Unfortunately we found the mattress very uncomfortable (too hard) which would sadly put us off returning.

Lovely place for walkers. Quiet location withe beautiful outlook and plenty of privacy. Cabins are quite basic but have everything you need.

Shop not open between 11-5 so be sure to take supplies with you for a cuppa when you arrive.

The peace and quiet and proximity to a small beach. Access to Plymouth was easy and quick.

The chalet for two may well need an upgrade!

The cabin we stayed in was tucked away from the others. The site and cabin was clean and had all of the facilities we required. The staff were friendly and happy to help.

The bed was uncomfortable and the pillows were hard, to be honest we were that tired from all of the walking that it wasn't an issue to get to sleep however I was glad to get back into my own bed.

We loved Churchwood and will definitely consider it for next year.

It could do with a bit of updating. although WiFi is available at a cost it needs to be made clear to people that the signal is still not great, certainly at the bottom. Water pressure is hopeless

set in a wooded valley with the only sounds to hear are those provided by mother nature. situated close to wembury beach and the coastal bath it makes a great location for walkers and nature lovers. accomodation is cosy and a patio area contains a picnic bench, charcoal bbqs are provided on request. will definately return in the future when in need of some peace, quiet and relaxation.

Lovely, peaceful setting. Private patio and although other lodges around feels like you are on you own. Great view of wildlife. Beaches to the west great. It is our third visit here and we would go again if we wanted somewhere to relax.

Small two seater settee, we are used to a much bigger one to relax and watch tv on. Shower extremely small, good job we are not too big or we would have really struggled. Cant take dog on Wembury beach in Summer months but are beaches just to the west that are pet friendly.

I liked the privacy of each cabin. You really feel like you have your own space. The close proximity to the beach.

The beds were a bit uncomfortable.

We loved everything about Churchwood Valley! Extremely friendly and helpful staff, stunning environment, clean and very well equipped bungalows. Unfortunately we could only stay for 2 nights this time because of work commitments, but we're definitely going back!
