A lovely old querky place to stay staff very friendly breakfast lovely
Hotel very old and furnished with suits of armour, etc. staff very friendly and helpful.
Shower was rubbish and although room looked clean it wasn't as clean as I would expect.
friendly staff good restaurant and bar
just a bit drab and dark for me.
The bed in the room was a huge four poster and was very comfortable, the atmosphere in the bar was good and the staff very polite and helpful. Breakfast was cooked fresh with perfect eggs!! Altogether a pleasant stay and value for money too, will be back next month.
What a lovely hotel staff were really friendly and helpful.we stayed in Henry v111 room which was amazing we loved it.we will definitely going back there again
Friendly staff, great food, great wine & beer. We are regular visitors and we choose to stay at the churston because it's such a friendly cosy place to stay.
Setting; history; aura. Will certainly come again.
Couldn't get the TV in room to work but to be fair I wasn't bothered enough to ask them to sort it out.
Bar food excellent
Unclean, unfriendly and no atmosphere
Everything was just amazing .
13th century plenty to look at,cosy places to sit in. Delightful breakfast room and very good breakfast with choices. Lovely staff.Room was small but adequate especially as budget price.
Fantastic customer service, individual attention no trouble!AWESOME FOOD!!:)
Hotel Air conditioning unit was a bit loud in our room but overall great stay A++++ :) :)
the old traditional type building with open log fire lots of character and friendly staff
The ambience was great. I liked the casual and freindly atmosphere combined with good efficient service and..of course..THE FOOD!!!
quiet peaceful and comfortable
nothing to dislike.
Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Very supportive when our holiday was unavoidably cut short.
What wasn't to like? The staff were warm and welcoming. I didn't feel like a second rate citizen because I brought my dog, my 14 yr old son was completely bowled over, the room was really comfy with just a hint of historical intrigue and the food (we only had breakfast) was excellent.
I loved every inch of its quirkiness and can think of nothing detrimental.
THE WHOLE ATMOSPHERE OF THE HOTEL
A really lovely clean comfortable room. Staff were nice and helpful. Dinner was good and reasoably priced. An attractive and interesting place to stay, that will remain a pleasant memory!
A little disapointed by the breakfast . Sausages and bacon seemed of catering quality and did not live up to promise. But that is all that I have negative to say.
I have visited Churston on a number of occasions as I had old relatives that moved to Brixham many years ago but we always ate in the bar so to see the proper restaurant was brilliant (what character). We hope that a grandson can visit sometime as he loves history.
General room standard gone down Rooms need money spent
Everything was great. We were upgraded as the Hotel was quiet. All Staff were lovely and helpful. The room and food were excellent.
